just found you today and was quilting a quilt while I watched and listened. First you have a beautiful testimony! You encouraged me in so many ways, my relationship with God, my husband, my grown son, my stitching (I am a beginner) but thank you for it all! I will keep watching! hugs!

I did not get to see you on the date the YT came out, but you are truly have heart and I think all of us are a work in progress every day. You are right us mothers love our son and wish for the best for them, and we would like them to pick a person that is close to our mannerism as possible, so we need to keep working on being the best person possible. I have days I cry just thinking of what is going on in the world, like you said we are tired and need to step back and relax and have a good nights rest, to have a better out look on things. Stay Safe and see you on the #5 Floss tube, sorry I gave up on quilting when we had a shortage on material to sew with in my SHOPS during COVID and picked up CS again. So will see you on the floss tube side.

Thank you for sharing your story. God bless your heart. I am so happy you have your faith keeping you strong. I, too, went through a rough period in my first marriage. I discovered cross stitch which helped a couple of years after my divorce. I didn’t believe in divorce but all my prayers were answered. I was shocked that divorce was what the answer was to my prayers. I am a very sensitive person and my feelings are exposed most of the time. I will never change. Keep sharing your beautiful stitching. I took up quilting when I was informed of a grand baby was on the way. I started quilting in 2006 and gave up cross stitching because quilting bit me hard. After finding floss tube this year, I got back into cross stitching and I can do both!! I wish I had discovered cross stitching in 2018 after having several surgeries due to colon cancer and having mesh removed from a previous surgery that was placed in 2013. I could have done a lot of cross stitching over the year of recouping! I was cancer free after my surgery and didn’t have to have chemo therapy or a colostomy. I was very lucky. If I have to have any abdominal surgery, I will have to go to Cleveland Clinic. My numbers have gone up since the surgery and I am having a PET scan October 8th to check for cancer. I would appreciate any prayers! Looking forward to seeing all you videos.❤️🙏🏼❤️

Candi Gordon I’m glad you are finding comfort in stitching. It’s such a soothing thing to have something beautiful you are creating with your hands. I’m glad you’re another sensitive friend. We can have that extra touch to be aware of other’s feelings and have a soft word or smile to share that others may not have noticed. There are so many lovely stitching options, it’s hard to find time for the ones I want to do, it seeing other ladies share them on Flosstube is fun as well. Let me know how your test results come out, you will continue to be in my prayers.

Hi Bonnie! I very much enjoy watching your videos! I too am a cross stitcher, quilter, and dabble in beading too! I'm in the process of moving later this week to W Kentucky and am so excited! Enjoyed your haul -- the Weeks linen is so pretty! I also went thru a very difficult time in my life and became very depressed and suicidal -- this was about 16 years ago now for me. My husband and sons were very verbally abusive and rather than going to couples therapy my husband wanted a divorce. I also lost my mom a couple of years ago so each November is difficult for me too! My sons no longer speak to me so its been a tough road for me. I'm glad that you and your husband are still together - divorce has become too easy here in our country but for me it was the only way to get out of a very difficult situation. But life is good now with all my hobbies and friendships gained through sharing these beautiful crafts! Your mom's quilts and memories are precious -- especially those teddy bears! Be well and look forward to your next video!

Jean Jankovich I’m glad you found restoration for your life and a way to keep moving forward in living a rich life. Hobbies have been so helpful for me and a great way to connect with other ladies who share my passions in stitching, bracelet making and gardening. How wonderful that you can move and still keep this beautiful community of Flosstube and the friendships made no matter where you live. I mentioned the book Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend to another commenter. If you haven’t read it, I think it would be helpful as you keep healing from the abuse in the past and continue to see that choices they made are their responsibility and you are wise to separate and protect yourself. Thank you for sharing your heart and I hope you continue to find joy in sharing time with me in my Sewing Room.

Johanne, I'm so glad you came to visit with me in my videos and found so much that we share in common!! You found me in an older video when I lived in California.....now, we are enjoying living in Colorado. It was a very long and challenging transition with lots of bumpy times as well as joyful times. I am now living in the town my parents moved to in the 90s. Some days are hard because she's not here and my Dad died almost 2 years ago. I go to her old quilt guild and so many of the sweet ladies there were her friends. Hope you come by and visit with me again. I've been quilting for the past several months and did several quilt videos, but I picked up my cross stitch again a few weeks ago and am just taking a break from stitching to catch up on comments.

Yay for gardening! Yes get everything cleaned up this Fall. This past week we spread 100 bags of mulch out in the backyard. And I know I need to rip out all my zinnias because of powdery mildew, but it makes me so sad to see them gone! My first thought regarding your quote is the ultimate question of, “what is love”? If love (and the pain associated with it) is better than any other pleasure, than how do we acquire it? I’d say that God is love, thus God grants us the ultimate pleasure in Him. Now how it would be painful, I do not know. May as God sanctifies us and we feel pain as we die to our sinful nature? Thank you for such an honest video. We are all real people with real lives and real struggles and real sorrows. Your previous garden was beautiful. And I’m sure your current one will be too. #beautyforashes I get so excited seeing you flip through your floss away bags. So many pretty threads. I reinforce my split floss away bags with clear shipping tape.

Jenifer Jones I’m so glad you found your way into my Sewing Room! Actually, since I do other crafts in there I have thought of calling it my Studio or my Den. Lots of crafts and hobbies are a great way to never be bored! Sometimes I don’t have the patience for one hobby or another, but if there’s something to grab and have ready to work on, then I’m a happy woman. Sometimes a simple single crochet blanket to give a way is my best option so I don’t have to think too much. It’s so cool that you live so far away, yet you’re here visiting with me, specially during these hard days!

Wow - I love your Big Tote From 31. That is nice and big. I need a Huge Basket or something to hold all of my Plastic Vinyl Zipper Project Bags that has my Current WIPS in them. I keep one WIP in each of my Plastic Vinyl Zipper Bags that I buy from Aamzon. Each WIP has its own Plastic Storage Floss Compartment Box with its own threads for that particular project. I have used the ring method in the past for each of my projects but I have a bad shoulder Blade area in my left shoulder and it will aggravate my Muscles when I have to keep and shutting the rings all of the time so I no longer use them. This is why I use the Floss Boxes. Looking forward to your next Floss Tube Video. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️XX❤️

"Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove. Oh, no, it is an ever fixed mark. . . ". Wm. Shakespeare, a sonnet the number I cannot remember. That is my favorite sonnet, and somewhere I have it stored in a book on a shelf. We studied it in high school, and that is all I can recite from memory now. All I can say at this moment in time is that we are given the ability to love by our Creator. He instills in all of us the ability to have emotions. Some are flawed by messed up genes, but for the most of us,the emotions are there to be developed. I cannot believe that I stumbled onto your first Flosstube and have stayed. I watch many videos. Some are only okay, some are really quite nice, and then there are those that sort of blow you away. Yours is the blowing away kind. I won't say any more here in thiis public forum. I am sure this was not what the author's meaning was, but my first thoughts regarding the sampler saying was it could refer to labor. Hi Bonnie!! To me, the poem was saying that even the pain of love is all part of love. You have to have loved in order to feel the pain from it and even that pain is better than not loving at all. Which of course reminds me of the quote, “Better to have loved and lost than not loved at all.” I am not a poetry person, either, so I may be way off here. Stephanie of Lindy Stitches reads poetry a lot at the end of her floss tubes. She would probably understand it just fine. 😄. I love all your project bags, totes and baskets! They are wonderful. I use flossaway bags for all my overdyed cottons, but keep my DMC on bobbins in number order in 4 of the floss boxes. I have done it that way since 1980 and it seems to be working for me. Hope you aren’t as busy this next week and you get more stitching time. Take care and many blessings to you until next time! 🐝🌼🐿🍁🦔🍂🦉🍁🍂🍂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😻

Cathy Lounsbury I love your insight and thoughts about the poem. It’s interesting to think about it from different aspects. I think we see things through the experiences we have had and the current emotional place we are in. Thank you for sharing! I see how keeping the DMC on the bobbin cards in number order can be a benefit. I was looking through my DMC wheel to try a conversion to oversized and I had a hard time finding the DMC because I have mine by color. I decided I need to get a DMC color chart since I don’t have all of them, but I’ve got lots of overdue data and have more on the way.

I think people have a helpless admiration for someone who dares to be just who they really are. There`s a power in it. As you shared with us the challenges that flattened you to the ground and the spiritual imperatives you were faced with, the shining thing is that you were WILLING to honor them with the suffering and sacrifices, courage and faith required of you to overcome the old you. There is such a beauty in a person who has done that--when they are humbly willing, when they love the Lord and His righteousness more than they love their own lives. KJV Matt. 10:39/16:25 I love the beauty of your sweet spirit.

Cindy Gaudet wouldn’t that be great? I knew this lovely Flosstube community was going to be a good place for me. Just to be myself and share the joy of stitching and meet so many wonderful friends! This is the next best thing to in person!

The verse I live by “In this world you will have tribulations; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 3:16. I know it’s the trails and suffering that make us strong. God also wants us to be joyful in all times, thus, why we all want to create. Your work is beautiful, stitching and quilting!!! God bless!!!
