What a lovely video and I think it is such a good idea to post photographs of your stitching at the end so we can have a really good look. So often flosstubers just flash their finishes because they're juggling the chart and trying to remember all the relevant information plus they have lots to share so putting them at the end as well is great for the lucky viewer. The trip to France and Spain looked a lot of fun and you were obviously lucky with the weather. Those stunning views! I loved the pumpkin pattern and your lovely finishes are always inspirational. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your embroidery, it is exquisite. I actually ordered Knitted Dreams from Tamir since I am a knitter as well. Gorgeous yarn choices, those socks will be very warm, yarn is wonderful to knit with. Lovely Samplers and finished projects. I stitched the Autumn’s Acorn Gathering for my son and fiancée at the time they got engaged. They rescued a squirrel and love the movie The Sword and the Stone. I stitched it in silks and added some Accentuate thread in. They loved them. Afterwards I saw Celeste Creates version and she did them together which was a great idea. Quilt is beautiful and we are huge Peter the Rabbit fans here, my Nana from England got the boys all the figurines plus dishes. We have all the books still, I used to read them so many times. Souvenirs of the Heart is so dainty. Have fun sailing.

I love watching your floss tubes as I love Brenda Gervais and it’s such a shame we struggle to get her charts here in England. But we do have some fabulous designers of our own too. As a postie in the Forest of Dean I have the wonderful opportunity to watch as all the leaves on the trees slowly change colour and I get to watch the pumpkin fatten in the garden too. I’m a February birthday so there’s not much colour around then. But the colours you see in autumn definitely give you the strength to struggle through to spring. Having said that if I’m home there is really nothing better than a snow day. But I’m more an observer by choice. Too many dodgy moments with my little red van to say I love being out in it.❤

Sian that was a brilliant podcast, thank you so much , so inspiring. I loved your Pumpkin crosstitch and think the pattern beautiful.I now want to stitch so much. I have just been crocheting a few little wee pumpkins and delighted with them as a display. We are in Spring now but what the heck, you can have a pumpkin out all year if you so wish. Yes, Abby! I was totally smitten when Sian showed the embroidery the first time and I went and ordered the whole floral year! Now, Sian, what I’m wondering is if you can tell me where those of us in the states might order some of that beautiful linen? I know the kits come with the one piece to stitch on; but heaven forbid if you make a mistake, where could more be obtained? I will practice on scrap fabric, of course, but boo-boos can happen on the “good stuff”. Sian, thanks ever so much taking us on this journey with you! You have quite the command with your needle and I watch your FT over and over!

Hi Susan - I would email the Stitchery and ask them exactly this - I am certain they have new batches of linen to practice on you can purchase and sometimes they have scrap bundles of old linen or can advise how to get some in US? You could email [e-mail] and ask Drew while Nicki is in Canada! Good luck :)

Hi Susan - I was thinking about this - the pieces of fabric in the kits has plenty of space all around the edges to practice each stitch on - that is what Nicki often does to show how to start - on her tutorial videos on teh Stitchery website. Or you can just get some cheap calico or a handkerchief or pillowcase to practice but the joy of embroidery is that you can stitch over mistakes again not like cross stitch! I hope this helps!

Wow! I’m just speechless after watching this video. Your stitching is so beautiful. So many ideas and so much inspiration. I’m definitely going to make a quilt. I’ve just bought Alice’s wonderland sampler quilt book, it’s 100 quilt squares from easy to advanced so you build your skills as you go. She also sells the Liberty Tana Lawn kit to go with the book so I think I’ll buy that. I’ve also googled Tillyanna bags because I also have a thing for baskets, I still have my school cookery basket which I love. I’ve seen she has personalised large and small baskets on the website so I think I’ll get a large one for my daughter in law and a small one for my granddaughter and fill them with lovely things 😁. I loved your photographs at the end. Thanks for sharing and take care on your sailing trip. We used to have a narrowboat, which I loved but 3 feet of water is deep enough for me.

I was thrilled to see you have a new KZbin video out! I need to get out some pumpkin charts and start stitching. My Grandfather came to the States when he was 10 years old from France.
