Thank you for another great podcast…I hate to be behind when other things cause me to be behind…a recent saying from a magazine for Women was that you must take care of yourself, before you can take care of others…and that is very true…loved the HATS parade, they are lovely patterns…love the new colors of your fabric line…all samplers would look good on your colors of fabric, and that should make you very proud of your work…wishing you peace, joy and happy stitching ❣️

Thank you for spending time with us!! I love those mesh bags. I have 8 granddaughters (teens) and this year I cx'd their initials on the bags for their Christmas gifts. They loved them! You need to take one day a week off, even God does that! Your gift of dyed fabrics is special to all of us but you deserve to take care of you, put your feet up and stitch! Enjoyed this video. Loved seeing all the samplers you are working on. The sampler with the yellow that is too light is so pretty and you have put so much stitching time in, maybe you could substitute a little darker yellow for the called for yellow. Wanted to say I received my order and loved all my linens. Thank you for all your hard work getting the linens dyed and sent out, the wait was well worth the end product. I'm glad you will continue taking orders from your fans. Take care of yourself and try to enjoy some stitching time each day!

What a fabulous HATS parade! You have so many picked out that are high on my list too. I am working on Elizabeth Furniss with DMC and love it so much! Your Sophia with the peacocks 😍 I will also be doing Rose Ada Featherstone and am leading the HH SAL in the Our Sampler Years group. You were mentioning the dmc colors are wonderful matches,, Nicola matches the different thread lines back to the antique itself so it is not necessarily a conversion from one thread line to the other of that makes sense. I am a fan of the checkerboard too. Amazing how certain motifs just catch your eye! Have a great weekend!

I didn't even have time for all of the HATS samplers I'd love to do!! 😂😂 I figured Nicola did a very careful matching of the DMC threads.. her DMC matches are absolutely the best in the biz! I've watched your stitch along videos, they are fun to stitch with, I'm just not great at stitch alongs... lol. I loved that you watched!! ❤️ I'm going to have to keep up with my vitamin regime so I live long enough to stitch all of these!! 😂😂

I have so enjoyed watching your videos! I have watched all of them the last few days! I am stitching Ann Morrison now! I got stalled on the eyelets, I skipped down and got some of the fun motifs at the bottom and it has helped me with the motivation to do the eyelets! I just made my first order for your linen! I am excited to try it out! I am sure I will be back for more! 🤗 Stitchy blessings to you!!! On the sampler you are stalled on, what if you change the yellow to a little darker, gold?? You have a lot of stitching done on that piece to toss it!

Aww, thank you Wanda! I used to be able to ship out pretty quick. But I guess those days are over. 😬 I get some feedback that people feel like flosstube stitchers get unfair special treatment and I felt it had to be addressed. I enjoyed your video again. You should definitely consider selling your oops fabric. They could work well for many projects. Also, I know that well water can be really cold and can vary with the season. I am a chemical engineer and have worked on metal plating problems. One supplier had an issue with their parts blistering in our process only in the winter. It turned out that they did not control their water rinse temperature which did not dissolve the plating salts left on our parts. I told them to add immersion heaters which fixed the problem. Look at your process inputs and identify what you can control but aren’t. That might help identify why you are getting more spotting. Best of luck 🤞🏼. I’d be glad to talk it through with you.

I loved the HATS Parade. You are absolutely right Nicola does individually match each color from each brand to the antique to get as close as she can. It takes a while, but having it right is important. This is why we love her.

Thanks for doing a HATS parade. I am a genealogy researcher (my other hobby)... and am designing a sampler as if one of my Scottish ancestors stitched it. Hope to design a welsh sampler & a Quaker dedicated to specific ancestors, too. I followed HATS for a few years but Ann Morrison was the first chart I bought and I was not disappointed. Now I have a small collection going with about 15 on my list, including some of the ones you showed. Tks again!

It's always exciting to see another video from you. The show of HATs samplers was great. I have many of the same as you have but added a few more to my list. I think I've completed 12 or 13. As you mentioned, I'm currently stitching Anna Sophia Bircham. You were the inspiration behind that. After seeing your wip, I pulled mine out to start. The photos of Anna do not do her justice. I'll be interested in seeing what linen you choose for Mary Hartland. I have her kitted with the threads but no linen for a start later this year. I'm so happy for you and the success of your linen dyeing business. Just don't burn yourself out. I'm looking forward to getting my first order. I didn't catch the name of the 2nd color you showed. That's like Sophie's choice picking a favorite!! 😂 two of the others I showed are right up there as favorites. Harriet Hartland and Anna Sophia Bircham. Anna Sophia has lots of color and the only specialty stitch is the over one.. Harriet will be stunning and I think is a showstopper, she has LOTS of over one and lots of Rice Stitch, which is a very fun specialty stitch. Let me know what you pick! Loved the HATS parade! You need to take time for yourself-working 7 days a week and those hours is not good for you. Love the new colors! You should not have to explain to anyone that you gifted them your new fabric-that is your business! I think that was very sweet of you to do that for them!

I was just thinking this morning, I maybe should have clarified my work schedule.. lol. Some days I am dyeing and ironing continuously from early morning until night, but not all 7 days. 😂 some days I take it slower and take breaks, like on the weekends. I'm currently in my pj's updating the website, drinking my coffee and its very relaxing! I'm determined to get some stitching time in tomorrow, I just have to remind myself to take time for me!! 😉

I want some of your linen so BAD, but I'm going to have to wait until Spring when my utility bill goes down. I think I might have to flip a coin because I love them all. I've discovered that floss tosses often don't work because a skein of floss looks considerably different than a single strand. I wanted to shout Oh No, don't do it! when you said you thought you'd restart the sampler with the floss that is blending in so much. Your linen is beautiful and so is your work. Why not just pick out those few stitches and substitute a floss a shade darker or overdye the floss you have. Wouldn't that be a lot easier and not noticeable in the end?

I get it, everytime I hear my heater kick on, I imagine the dollar bills flying out the window. 😬 it can sometimes stink being on a tight budget, but once in a while when we can buy ourselves a little treat, I think it's so much more appreciated, don't you think? ❤
