Oh good Ellen! That's definitely a color that you need a certain type of project for. I've seen a few people stitch some winter pieces on that color that looked great. I hope you come across some great pattern that will work!

You are hilarious. I recently bought one of those Paragon kits off e-bay. It is the Mary Batchelder, a near twin to the CHASE sampler. Exact same border but the scene is different. I thought it would be fun to start it, show it to my daughter, and tell her she has to make one too. Her head might explode. She has 4 kids, 3 jobs, and is taking online classes at Purdue. LOL Hope you enjoy every minute of your birthday.

I am the same way about dispensers and good smelling products! It’s the only reason I’m using something the dentist gave me (cool dispenser) and why I continue to look for vidal sassoon shampoo (the 80s version smelled like cherry almond). Lori!! We are sniffing sisters.. 😂😂 I always have Pert shampoo in the shower for the boys in my family because the smell is so awesome and whenever I go to the Dollar Tree, I sniff the Salon Selectives shampoo because it takes me right back to 1989!! 😂😂😂 I resist buying it though, that shampoo was pretty terrible... lol.

I absolutely love your videos Rachel….informative, interesting, surprising, and you ALWAYS make me laugh at loud! Many thanks for sharing your “someday behemoths”. As you ticked off each one I kept thinking “what will she save for the last one?” I have to say I spewed the Coke I was drinking when you held up The Chase…and when you commented that many unfinished ones could be found in a garage/tag sale I was howling! Why? Because the one I started stitching in…wait for it…1978…eventually ended up (half finished ) at a local Salvation Army, a casualty of a pre-moving purge! I’m thinking I should attempt to find the kit again…I’ll let you know if I do!🤣🤣🤣

@@needleandflaxflosstube3647 Rachel..you’ve unleashed a demon here! I spent time this afternoon hunting one down. I’d love to do the one that ISNT preprinted because that’s the main reason I dumped the one I did! I just didn’t like how the cross stitch section looked. When I dumped the freaking thing all but 1/4th of the free hand embroidery was stitched…may sound crazy to dump something that close to a finish but my OCD couldn’t take it anymore!🤣🤣🤣 This afternoon I did discover that Traditional Stitches sells the charted kit version but it was out of stock…I’m now awaiting to hear back as to whether or not they can procure one for me. When/if I’m able to snap one up I’ll contact you….we could do a SAL together!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💣

I loved that one! And the Kathy Barrick! I wanted to stitch that one and then I saw Olivia B start it on Lakeside vintage copper. Now I am kinda crazy to find something similar to that color! I would stitch Elizabeth Furniss and Mary Wigglesworth on Dirty Teacup and I think Mrs. Campbell would look great on Thornfield or even Newport Beach! I think I may use Thornfield fir that one. A lot of stitchers are doing Rose and the Giant Pear on 90's Nirvana and it looks fantastic!! Hope that helps! ❤
