Thank you for another great video, Karen. As well as your beautiful projects, I also really enjoy your calm, pleasant demeanor. 🙂 And, I usually learn something new from you every time! Right now, I am alternating between two projects…Turkey Day by Cottage Garden Samplings, and Elizabeth Ranicar 1845 Sampler by Birgit Tolman of The Wishing Thorn. Enjoying them both! Happy traveling to your needlework meetups! Meline

Hello! This was my first visit to your FlossTube channel. I really enjoyed watching and hearing about your stitching and visit to Franklin. I love history, too, and and I was eager to visit the website to order that wonderful sampler kit. Don’t tell my husband! Haha. No, actually, he’s actually pretty low key about my stitch shopping. I currently have several WIPs, and for the last few days I have been working on “Wildflowers” by Kathy Barrick. I loved how the model was stitched, but the fabric I ordered for it turned out to be a lighter shade than I expected. I went with it anyway and switched one of the called for floss colors. In my mind, the jury is still out on whether I made the right decision to stitch it on this fabric. I’m forging ahead. We shall see. See you next time! Happy stitching!

Becky, so glad you found my FT channel and enjoyed this episode. I love Kathy Barrick’s charts. I’m working on several and have more waiting for “their turn”. Thanks for your nice comment. I enjoyed reading it. 🙂

I didn't know about the Sheila's and Crown addition to the pattern. I bought the chart also thank you for that info. Love your Elan frame I have been interested in finding something that leaves me hands free like that. Will check into it. Your stitching is beautiful thank you for sharing.😊

Pamela, so glad the video was helpful. The link in the description will take you to the Shield in Crown addition. I love my élan frame. I purchased it last year and have used it so much. It packs up small for travel and is so well made. I found a used one on eBay that was built in 1994 and has a lovely patina. It still looks brand new. You can still order them. I put the link to the website in the description. I believe they are built to order so it may take a little time to get it. There is a phone number and an email on their webpage for any questions before you order. Thank you for your nice comment and I’m so glad you enjoyed this episode. 🙂

Dear Karen, Last night I was missing your updates and here you are! :) I got my Elan frame this month for my birthday. I am planning to use it for my Holland Springtime Chatelaine, but the Silkweaver "Dreamin'" linen for that is on order for what may be months. This is what I got from Needleworker's Delight AFTER I placed the order: "Thank you for your order with us. There are unfortunately huge delays everywhere. Hand-dyeds are not in stock and can take up to a few months dependent upon base fabric availability. We cannot offer a refund once order is placed." Gee thank you very much for putting that info in the RECEIPT... I also have one of those teeny scissors. My husband decided it would be a good idea to cut out all the hair wound around the vacuum cleaner brush with my old Kai embroidery scissors and dulled them. Those were slightly serrated so I can't sharpen them. I figured these teeny scissors will not tempt him! Ha! --Kim

Hi Kim, it's been a busy few weeks and then our power was out most of last night. Put a kink in filming, so I decided to do it this morning. My husband was swamped with projects, so I didn't get his fancy editing, but still made do. Sure appreciate your nice note! :) Hopefully your linen comes in soon. Great idea on the smaller scissors . We have some "kitchen" shears in the kitchen just for odd jobs. Got them at Ikea years ago and they are still doing okay. . . but I would never try to cut anything "good" with them. Save them for all those "other" jobs. :)

Hi Karen. I just came across this video. I too live in TN. We are in Cookeville. Where are you? You mentioned the Country Cupboard for frames & our youngest daughter lives in Murfreesboro. I have that on my list to visit. I’m working on smalls right now.

Hi Maria! We live about an hour south of Nashville. Our kids both went to Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. 🙂 Yes, Country Cupboard (in Murfreesboro ) did the framing. I was very pleased with it. It’s a nice shop, filled with lots of charts, floss, etc. check their website for hours. I think they are closed on Tuesday. They are doing a retreat in Murfreesboro in October! So glad you found my FT and thanks so much for your nice note!
