Flosstube Episode 36: Rika gives an update from Germany!

Quick update from Germany! Hallo Everyone! It's been forever since I've updated you all! This video was filmed about 2 weeks ago and so there are more updates to come! I did ask on my IG your thoughts about Vlogs vs Flosstube and based on your feedback I will do separate Vlog videos for actual longer clips and if I have something to share that is non stitchy related then I will add those on the end of the clip! Hopefully this will let you glimpse on my day to day adventure here in Germany! For now I hope that this update finds you well and that you are staying healthy! We lived in Stuttgart from 2003 to 2006. My husband worked on Panzer but we lived in Vaihingen. Miss those days so much. I remember taking the duty bus before our car was delivered. 😜 we walked SO much there!!

In that way, you make everyone happy. I personally enjoy both. Many Flosstubers use that format. For example, Socks for Mum did that in her most recent video.

Hi Rika! So glad you made it to Stuttgart okay! We stayed in a hotel while we were there, doing laundry in the bathtub (Lol) and when we wanted some fresh food we had a really hard time finding the grocery store!! They keep it hidden pretty well. Glad you survived all your quarantines- wow that's alot to go through! Glad your doggie is allright

My son was stationed at Stuttgart for three years. We loved it when we visited. It was different at first, then we did day trips. It was beautiful and I would love to go again.

Rika, nice to see you still alive after spending 14 days in a hotel room with hubby and the dog.😂🤣😂. This is your channel, you should be able to put whatever you want to on it, if people don’t want to watch everything they don’t have to.🥰 It’s a lot of work to make every video, you shouldn’t have to make two.👍🏻 I can’t wait to see your adventures as you settle in to your new country. Do you have any idea how many years you’ll be there or is it open ended? It’s a crazy time in the world, the added stress of such a big move can’t be helping. Hi Jill!!! lol! I am glad I survived too! That was the hardest part with all the 3 other separate Quarantine we had to do before we could travel! Thanks so much for watching my video! And our time is projected to be 3 years here but then it can also be open ended too! And everyone on post speaks English! But I ventured out for the first time this week and Ive realized I need some conversational German to get me around downtown Germany! So I am going to also share my adventure with you all as I try and learn German!

Beckisland lives in Germany, maybe she could help you find out where to shop for cross stitch needles there. I know she buys a lot of things online for cross stitch but she does buy fabrics for finishing, trims, stuffing, things to finish there. She hasn’t been posting videos as much because they got an RV and travel during good weather. Take care, be well. 🙋🏼
