Thank you Rika, be kind to yourself ,you have not just moved house but country where English is not the first language. Add to this a hubby that needs help. I think you are doing amazing. Stitching is beautiful as always. Ignore the thumbs down for your video, I think some people just do that to upset creators like yourself. I agree with you ,,switch off if you don't like the video. I was taught if you can't say anything nice ,don't say anything at all. Camera is very clear and great focus. Stay safe and well . From a very wet UK

Rika, don't be so hard on yourself with your quilt blocks, the quilting will work the little imperfections out and you will not even notice them. They are beautiful!! Keep up the good work and take your time getting all your unpacking and putting things up done, it will be done soon enough no need to stress yourself out. One day at a time girl :)

JulieRStitches hi Julie! I’m sorry the ADs are popping up! I did start monetizing my videos to help with camera and stash costs. I will look into this further! I have KZbin Premiere so I don’t see ads from other makers. I apologize if the ads did start every 2 mins after.

Hi Julie! I looked at the video and did make some changes I hope that it helps in the future and minimize the ads that pop. Thank you for your feedback! It is so appreciated!

Nice to catch up with you! Your quilting is amazing, I’ve been dabbling in collage quilting and have also made a couple table runners, doing a big quilt is still a bit intimidating to me. I am totally with you on using what I have, when I moved here to Dallas a couple years ago I couldn’t believe how much stitching and scrapbooking stuff (I don’t really scrapbook much anymore but spent so much money on my supplies I’m having a hard time just getting rid of them) I had! Stay safe, happy stitching!

Rika, the thing I love about your new camera is that I don’t hear the autofocus! I wear earbuds when listening to FlossTube and with your old camera I can constantly hear that annoying sound. Hang in there! Things will get better!! I wish I could come help you. I love to organize stuff!

I am so proud of you for learning German! Sooo many expats have the mindset that they are only here for 3 years anyway, whats the point of learning German. Or they only stay on base, and visit other bases, so never see the need. It will make your time here so much more enjoyable if you can converse with the natives. And your sewing on those blocks is beautiful! Great job!

I'm so sorry that you've had a lot of issues moving. It's hard not to feel overwhelmed at the best of times when you're moving and with quarantining plus dealing with your husband's surgery..Wow! I hope that quilting and cross stitching is bringing you some peace and allowing you to slow down for a bit. Your stitching is beautiful and I enjoy seeing it. I'm stitching on Prairie Schooler's November, the small sampler. I like to decorate with them and to me they're comfort stitching. Take care and stitch on!

Doreen Deskins thank you Doreen for the kind words! My creative outlets sure give me happiness even with these challenging times! Your Prairie Schooler sounds like a great stitching project! I want to work on smaller items to decorate our home with too! Thanks for watching and for your support! 💖💖💖

Hi Rika ... great video, the new camera is fantastic. First time commenting, long time watching 😀I am loving your quilting. Your blocks are great. I also wonder why people dislike videos. Just move on if you don’t like it! Good luck with your stay in Germany. See you next time.

Hi Cindy! Thank you so much for watching! I am glad that the new camera is helping viewers to see better details of the stitching and the quilt blocks! I appreciate the kind words! Lol! I just wonder that since if I don't like a video I just move on and find another to watch! But it is the time we live in nowadays especially with more people staying at home! I am glad to see your first comment and thanks for your continued support! ❤️

Hi Rika! I’m so happy for the new video! It’s always great to see you! I’m wondering if would be possible for you to tell us what the fabric amounts were that you ordered for the Prim & Proper Citrus and mint quilt -. I fell in love with the line as soon as you showed it and I have already ordered the book - I’m excited to do a sew along with you and want to get the fabrics on the way to me in time for the start. Thanks so much! 😘

How long has it been since you moved? An international move is difficult I know from my personal experience. Don’t be so hard on yourself! It really can take many months before you start to feel comfortable in your new country and life. Your stitching is so beautiful 😍. Sending you positive vibes from my home in Eastern Europe.

Your new camera looks like it works great. Your quilting looks wonderful. I’m a newer quilter as well. I wish I could build up stash so quickly lol. I’m looking forward to doing more quilting once my next model stitch is done. I miss it but as a single mom it is hard to keep up with everything. I would love to see a bit about your new brother sewing/embroidery machine. How it works and what you like about it and any drawbacks to a combo machine. Hope Don is healing well and that you are both settling in bit by bit. I can’t imagine how much work it must be to take on a move like this. Take care for now.

Wow . I first have to say your nickname should be supper woman. You quilt you stitch you are an active wife and an amazing volger. I have also noticed you like ludia have an idea for dimensions kits. They are so beautiful. . I was hoping you would do a video about your favorite tools and a tour of your stitch you spot when you get a spare moment. And again thank you for sharing and for your support as an military wife.

Your work is beautiful! Don’t be so hard on yourself...once your quilt is quilted you won’t even notice any mistakes!! Your large cross stitch pieces are amazing! I have a friend who lives in Stuttgart so I am enjoying your scenery shots.

Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for watching! I am trying not to be too obsessive over the not so matching seams! lol! Theyre all for me anyway but I know its there! hahah! I will keep this in mind once its all done and quilted! I will try and do more clips of Stuttgart! What a small world that you also have a friend who lives in the area! I tend to stitch bigger pieces but I am also trying to incorporate smaller ones too so I can have an actual finish!

Hi Rika! I've been following you on Instagram starting with your move to Germany. I first saw you post your beautiful project bags, but unfortunately I was not quick enough to get one, Hope you can get settled in soon. I can't imagine how overwhelming it must be, but you can do it! I've been wanting to learn to quilt and I admire how you just jumped into quilting and learned. I'll be watching any of your helpful videos with some tips on getting started. Good luck with learning German and Happy stitching and sewing!

Phyllis Lundy hi Phyllis! Maybe when I start feeling more settled I’ll be able to get back into making bags! The upcoming tutorial and quilt that I am making is very beginner friendly so I hope to inspire more people to quilt! I’m learning as I go but if I can do it anyone can as well! It’s been very fun! Thanks for watching and for your continued support! 💖💖💖

Stitching, sewing, driving in a different country, setting up a house, that’s a whole hell of a lot and hubs having an accident and surgery on top of all that! Yikes! I thought your seams looked perfect and the new camera is awesome btw. I just finished Fig Tree’s Winter Wonderland so I know what that is like. I thought it was intense. What method do you use for starching? I think that would help a lot.
