Hi Laura! Wonderful video as always! Beautiful stitching and progress on your WIPs and starts. What a beautiful sounding weekend you had with having both kids there for Mother's Day. We celebrated Mother's Day a weekend late and went to a lovely barbeque restaurant, watched mute swans, several different kinds of turtles and several kinds of fish on the river during the meal, then, after the meal, we fed the river wild life and took a 40-generation picture, so all-in-all had a very nice day. I wish I lived nearer the sea...I grew up on the west coast and the sea was right there...of course, as a kid, I took it for granted. Now I miss the sound and the breeze from the sea. I thought they did a fabulous job with Maverick - loved it just as much as Top Gun. And hooray for you for finishing Cinnamon Stars 😂. I'll miss seeing it! For frogging, I would recommend The Unstitcher. It's a little tool sold at the Fat Quarter Shop and designed by Lori Holt. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to frog with this little tool than a regular needle! Glad you got to spend a weekend with your kiddos. We were just with ours for the weekend and it was so much fun😊. Have a great week!

I am the same age as you and listening to you talk about movie theater prices when we were teenagers made me smile. My town also had a dollar theater, and that theater makes me remember the only time I have run out of gas in my car. I chose to spend my only dollar on a movie ticket instead of putting it in my gas tank. I ran out of gas right across the street from the theater on my way home. I still think of that whenever I pass by that street. Oh what a dollar could buy!

I'm so excited for you and your cinnamon stars finish! woo hooo! And you know I am 100% in for the fish and ships stitching. I need to make up for lost time from all the ripping. But I am mostly caught up to where I was when I found my disaster of an error. And I have finally figured out pattern keeper and loaded a new Carolyn Manning pattern and started that this week. Man, what a game changer pattern keeper is. Did you see that stitches sew beautiful is having a sale? Definitely going to have to add to cart and maybe start something new this summer. But the hard part will be figuring out which one.... hmmm decisions decisions. Hope to see you around the zoom room soon. :)

Laura, I too have hip issues. I have done physical therapy and shots in the SI joints as well as lumbar areas. I am desperately trying to avoid surgery l. The best thing that has helped me is walking my dog Jack. I would like to recommend this to you as well. For me, it keeps me active and lessens the hip pain.

Cross Stitch is like an Ocean. It's really a whole other world. I love it! I've been wanting to do a longdog for awhile. I may just join the SAL. I'm wanting to find people who want to do an Olympics SAL end of July/beginning of August. If you want to join, I'll be stitching Les Olympiades des Gnome by Jardin Prive starting July 26th, I think.
