I bought this phone based off Flossy Carter's review and I'm happy with my choice. I was using a Sony Xperia XZ2 for a bit but the battery life on that phone was lackluster. After using the Motorola G7 Power for a week, I refuse to use a phone with less than 4,000mAh and we're spoiled rotten with this 5,000mAh battery. As of right now, my last full charge on my G7 Power was 36hrs ago, currently have 18% battery life left and I'm averaging 10hrs, 16min of screen usage.

This phone has been my workhorse for a few months now and i have to say that the battery life is going to spoil you. Bells and whistles are all fine and dandy but you can't beat the fact that you can simply throw the device in your pocket and not get any kind of "charge enxiety" that i get with most other devices.

This guy says it is a throw away phone because it is only $200 but for me this the most expensive phone I have bought. I'm a cheap ass that should have bought a new phone years ago. I just kept buying new screens and digitizers for it and fixing it myself. I could fix the hardware but not the software ,(android lollipop was the latest).Which to say the least was majorly out of date and probably vulnerable to attacks. By the end of life the battery was able to do 1 hour if I did not touch it. I was constantly looking for charging stations, I could only have about 3-4 apps and if I had to download updates then I would have to delete a bunch of stuff off the phone. It was ridiculous. The phone was moto e 2nd gen that came out in 2014 and even back then it was the budget model. So, going from that to Moto G7 Power is like going from a broken down Pinto to my own private fucking luxury jet. I don't give a fuck what anyone says, I fucking love this thing.

I've moved on to the Pixel 3a XL personally, but for those who are wanting a cheap phone that gets the job done, this is the perfect option, especially with that superb battery. Android updates have become a bit slow with Motorola, but the minimal Android user probably won't care about that as much.

Hey! I can confirm it works with Canadian Carriers. It's GSM unlocked. I bought the G4 from the motorola website a couple years ago and have used it with Telus and Koodo no problem. My boyfriend bought himself the G7 Power recently and has used it with Rogers no problem.

I have that phone. It works just fine on sprint..since they signed an agreement to share spectrum with T- Mobile, it roams on Verizon for calls but also T-MOBILE for data, band 66.

I got this phone last week, largely because of this review. And damn I'm glad I did. The battery life is beyond amazing. After the last full charge, I'm at 63%. That was 18 hours ago! I'm at 4 hours and 22 minutes of screen on time. Phenomenal battery life. The speaker is actually pretty damn good. And while the camera is by no means "flagship", it more than gets the job done. Well above average image quality. Just a solid overall phone. On a scale from 1 to 10, the Moto g7 Power is a major GO. 😉

Flashlight chop Is the most useful add-on I've seen. Other things are not related to any emergency use, just that they are nice to have. But with the quick chop there is a flashlight for you and I've been using this action countless times in different situations, some even in emergency situations.

I enjoyed the Star trek ending. I think this is a great phone for the price, incredible battery. The phone is pretty heavy. The camera is only so-so in low light levels that's probably my only gripe. Recently you can get a Verizon Samsung Galaxy A50 for $200 at Walmart. Even though that battery is only 4,000, you're looking at 64 gigs of storage, 1080p resolution, much better camera and small camera cutout instead of a notch on the screen.

Best budget phone there is I bought it on promotion from metropcs for $60 and you will receive security updates. most likely after the beta version 10.0 Q finishes on the pixel the Moto g 7 series will get the update andriod Q 10...I spoke to Motorola over the phone they said the g7 series will continue to get updates..one more thing remember these phones come with one year warranty straight from the company it self so no need to pay extra money to your carrier for protection cause it already comes with protection straight out of the box all you have to do is register your phone with Motorola!!!!

The battery on this phone is amazing and it even comes with a clear case. It's a great bargain for what you get. Plus you quickly get used to the lower resolution compared to high end Samsungs or whatever. The big screen makes viewing websites really nice. Plus the headphone jack and it's on top of the phone which actually makes sense. And you can add an SD card. It's in some ways better than the other great bargain Pixel 3a even (especially if you don't want to worry about charging very often). Still one of the best bargains a year after this review was shot.

This is my current phone. It's a really good phone for the money. If you use At&t or TMobile get the 4 gig dual SIM version. It's MUCH better than the 3 gig version the US gets. I easily get 11+ hours of screen on time which usually is about 2 and a half days of use. The only real problems are the back scratches super easily and the screen doesn't get that bright but that helps the battery life so it's hard to complain about it.

Motorola doesn't want to pay the licensing fee to get NFC certified plus this country is more obsessed with buying flagships. So if you don't see a feature in a midrange it's like upselling you on getting the more expensive Moto Z.

I returned a Samsung A20 phone and traded in for the G7 power. To me battery life is most important to me.

I agree. I have started to realized that all of these phones do about the same thing. The only noticeable difference is the batteries. I mean its like buying those cars with 700Horse power and doing everyday stuff like going to buy groceries. You don't notice the extra performance if you are doing normal things with your phone.
