The clip on the Shootout and UTX-85 is called a "deep carry" pocket clip because it hides the knife completely in the pocket. The reason the ShootOut is so lightweight is because the handle is made out of carbon fiber. Floss if you gonna be in the knife game you gotta learn how to "middle finger flick" that Medford bro!! Population of our city has ballooned but the police force has either stayed the same size or gotten smaller. Going straight to microtech for an average guy is like going from 0-100. There are plenty of great knives under even $60. Good blade material, action, and lock up aren't exclusive to $200+ knives. Gotta check brands like Civivi, Kizer

I love to see the knife collection starting up. My favorite and biggest recommendation would be the benchmade bugout. Very light weight and with s30v steel it is good quality and will stay sharp for a while. The benchmade bugout bk-2 has cf elite scales just like your new shootout which are more rigid than the original ones. Keep up the content I’m excited to see more.

Be sure keep the OTF's clean. If you get pocket lint or anything, even water in an OTF, it won't fire. I stopped carrying my Microtechs for this reason. It would suck if need it and the blade doesn't deploy. Check out the Spyderco Yojumbo

This is just a theory...If you get caught with an automatic the police will probably keep it and have you move along. I worked at a knife shop in NJ and the police used to come in specifically to buy the Automatics (they are illegal with exceptions). Most likely they'll know how valuable those things are and keep that shit. 😂
