I'm going to have to try chatterbaits for flounder. I've been using the Z Man WillowVibes jig heads. They're jig heads with a willow leaf chatterbait blade. They seem perfect for flounder with a Gulp or whatever soft plastic you like. The action they give a grub type bait is crazy, it wags back and forth. And it feels amazing when you jig it. So far the flatfish don't seem to be around my area, but I'll find them and when I do I'll be trying the different kinds of chatterbaits for them. They should be awesome for dirty water.

Nice Job Dan! Sometimes plans change on the fly and making adjustments like you did often can salvage the day!

nice catch! I hate when people makes big wakes while others are fishing. just the other day I was fishing on the tybee main pier tryna fish and there was jet ski's just making big wake and flying all around the pier.it was already blowing that it cost 40+ just to park on tybee island. i had another situation recently I just got a brand new bass tracker v16 pro guide sc with 90hp and I was in my boat docked at butter bean after fishing. waiting on my dad to put my trailer in the water. some guy went flying through a no wake zone and had my boat tryna force it self to the dock

Hey Dan great catch I use chatter baits for spotted bass at Lake Lanier glad to see salt water fish like them too! I am actually planning to come over Sunday to fish Savannah for the first time for red fish. I have been researching a bit. I plan on putting in at Turner Creek. Should I head to the sound this time of year or stay in the creek or Wilamont river? I have a key west 203fs it drafts around 18inches don’t want to get stuck anywhere. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Head to salt pond in Wassaw Sound around the higher tide periods if the wind will allow.

Hello mr Dan, loving your videos. We were out to tybee last week , didn't know about the king tide! Had high wind. We caught a few but really wasn't one of my favorite times. Going to keep trying though cause my wife likes to fish so much lol.
@LowCountryFishing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Roger. Yeah the King Tides are no joke. This area is hands down the toughest inshore waters to fish.

@@eagleflight72 I’m a FL native too. Unfortunately we don’t have any grass flats you can walk here due to the mud. You can walk a lot of our sandbars like the one in this video but you have to have a boat to get there

Buy a can of sardines. Put them and the juice in a glass jar with a lid. Put your plastic lures in the jar. Shake, let sit in the refrigerator a few days before going out. The plastic adsorbs the smell, one more thing to make them want to stay on.

I'm really got mixed feelings about this vid. Good vibes, it validates my opinion that "freshwater" baits like these work! Bad vibes. Spoiling my "secret". I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed getting the side eye from a fellow angler looking at my rig while walking the beaches, only to see my rod bent from a decent fish moments later 😀!! chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs and anything (even buzzbaits!)with a skirted hook would work well for fluke. Worked right, they all mimic bait that these fish will inhale with a passion. The ability to attach various soft baits to the rigs means that you can match a profile of anything from B bunker(menhaden) to squid. I haven't used chatterbaits yet, but I will be soon! p.s. yes I used a spinnerbait and buzzbait before, on the sandy or muddy flats at high tide. Not many doormats...ok no doormats, but I've put more than a few keepers in the cooler.

Thanks for the feedback. Although I do not use chatter baits frequently, they are extremely effective.
