Thanks, Gav. That was terrific. The designer Phillipe is a Paraglider designer so he is all over wind dynamics . Keep doing what you do it’s fantastic cheers

Thanks for confirming my choice - already ordered a quiver. Very impressed with the design, not surprised that paragliding company is ahead of the competition.

You'll love it mate. It's a great wing.

Thanks Gav, I got a lot out of that and am sure everyone else will too. You must have some of the best parawing content on YT at the moment, plus it's based on all the available wings and not use of only one of them. Did you notice the releases from Takoon and 777 Kites this week? Flow seems to be the pick of the crop at the moment. Good on them.

Thanks Arthur, really appreciated your kind words! Yes, I’ve been chatting to both 777 and Takoon about their wings. For me, and my needs, the Flow is the best out there right now. They have done a great job.

Great video, thank you. You mention connecting a leash to reduce line tangles. Can you show a picture of that. Can almost see in video but good to know if there are any key dos/dont's. Similar question around using a harness with the Flow.

Haha, I knew I should have included this. I’ll do a top tips video soon.

Great vidéo Gav. In what order would you class the Flow, Ensis, BRM in terms of: 1 : stability / upwind capability 2 : wind range / gust stability 3 : Pack away / re-deploy Thanks
Off topic question: what size is the Armstrong DW board you were riding? How does it compare to the 7'10" North Horizon?
@hydrofoilacademy6 сағат бұрын
I have the DWP 8'10 108L. This gets up so early I use it when its super light. I think it's better in big ocean, rolling swells but the Horizon on is an amazing allrounder.

I m interested but dont have DW board and don't want to buy one .i m around 90 kg ,using F One Rocket wing board 110 litre , Phantom 1280. I m still learning jibes although been winging since start ( foil wings ),so maybe i m rushing in ?i use 5 .5 Unit ,recently did 20 kmh downwind with my set up was all good .Dont want to spend thousands on gear .Any recommendations? TIA.
@hydrofoilacademy2 сағат бұрын
It sounds like you're set up nicely with your current gear, so maybe stick with that for a while longer. Learning to Parawing is not easy so take that into account.

Great review. Im 90 Kgs and thinking of the 5.5 but I dont know if I want to ride really low wind like 10knts do you think it would be too over powered at 20knts. Riding Art V2 1099 and V2 999 also have 1180 SF on DC sup foil board 6.9x26 @115 litres.

It’s always difficult to say exactly as it depends lots on the skill of the rider. But I think the 4.2 is the go. That’s my most used one. With a big board you will get up.

@hydrofoilacademy I'd like your review about Ensis Roger vs Dwing 😉 especially about stability, upwind and depower capacities. Ensis is curently the unique parawing avalaible in France.
@foiling_jpКүн бұрын
Hello :) I see that there are 3.0, 4.2, and 5.5 sizes, but what wind ranges can they cover? Also, are they good for under and overwind winds? My weight is 58kg (127lb).
@DownwindFrotherКүн бұрын
At 75kg I'm happy going the 4m. Sounds like the 3m would be the all rounder size for you IMHO
@MonbogDecanКүн бұрын
Excellent review! I'm what wind ranges are you using the 4.2m vs the 5.5? I'm 60kg use a DW board and large Axis foils 1180, 1030 Spitfire or 1401 Art pro. Often in marginal winds of 12 or 14knt up to max 18kn. Would the 5.5m be good or drop to 4.2m?
@powis-tv8lnКүн бұрын
Thanks was waiting for your review to hear there wasn't any issues
@hydrofoilacademyКүн бұрын
That’s a really difficult question to answer as it all depends on rider skill and the gear you are using. For me the 5.5 I can use in 10kts and I’ve taken the 3m out in gusting 35kts

The way things are going current parawings will be obsolete very soon. Prices at present are ridiculous compared kites or wings. Should be 3 to 400 euros max.
@hydrofoilacademy6 сағат бұрын
Yes, changes will happen. Thats the nature of the sport. Same thing happened with wings and foils.
