Flow Turbine adapter change on a Worcester Bosch

This is a common fault on these boilers, the flow turbine adapter is weak plastic and often fails. The tell-tale sign is the constant drip from the flow turbine housing.
Don't make the mistake of changing the actual flow turbine as it's rarely the problem, but usually only the adapter which costs around £3 or so.
Make note of the orientation of the adapter and the flow restrictor as if you put it back wrong it won't go fully home and will leak.
The clip can be a pain, but there's a knack to it and again long nose pliers help!

Had this part leaking but had the flu so didn’t feel like fixing it myself. Had the boiler company round, showed them where it was leaking from, wanted to leave straight away without even opening the boiler as he was convinced he knew exactly what the problem was. Told him to at least take the cover off and look. 1 minute later, the cover was back on and still certain the housing was cracked. They sent me a quote for £400, to include changing the automatic air vent and the entire turbine housing. This did not include replacing the part that was actually leaking!! Have just repaired my boiler following this video. Nice and straightforward, easy to follow, perfect mate!

Leak was actually coming from the rear not the front - so as I feared I'm going to need to change the whole return manifold.This was worth a shot though - and this part doesn't come with the manifold kit so would have needed a new one anyway!

@@cputilitysolutions Yup I'd already seen that, thanks again! There's limescale buildup looking very much like the one you show. Water is actually dripping from the LHS of the boiler case which had me confused - turns out the boiler is installed slightly on the p*ss so water is downhill along the metal bar where the pipe connections attach. The RH block is definitely the culprit.

Does anyone know if the flow turbine can go in the other way round? This has recently been replaced on my boiler and now when I place a call for hot water the boiler kicks off with a creeping U0-U9 error code as if the temperature has raised too much

I don’t have a leak, but Need to open Hot Water tap to Maximum to get the Boiler to come on! Would replacing the flow turbine adapter help? Thanks!

Any idea with this mate my greenstar 25si when I run hot taps or shower boiler locks out, I've replaced the heat exchange plate and still having the same issue ?

I've just run the hot tap and felt the flow pipe which felt like it was starting to warm up so going to change thr diverter and paddle. But would this cause the boiler to lock out?
