Hi there.. I loved pineapple Tarts.. I was born in kelang Selangor, West Malaysia..I'm a Portuguese- Malaysian person ..And my mom from Malacca Portuguese- saltermen..And The Portuguese & the Dutchman..They came into Malaysia ..And They landed in Malacca in 15th ,16th & the 17th- hundred's..And that is why the Portuguese & the Dutch..They made the *Original Pineapple **-Tarts-*-..And the Tarts came from the Town of Malacca the Portuguese- Saltermen.. So you see 👀..The Portuguese & the Dutch, They made the Pineapple -Tarts , they are from Malaysia in Portuguese -Saltermen in town of Malacca..My mother's home town.. Thank you. J.Derozario.

Hi Angie, I went to your blog, got the answer there... the texture is buttery, crumbly & melt-in-mouth, Thank you so much. BUT, it did not state whether you use Salted or Unsalted butter. Regards.

Thank you for your sharing! I plan to try it. I saw the recipe on your website that also need self-raising flour together with the all-purpose flour. Will all-purpose flour and some baking soda work? Can I not use together self-raising flour? Thank you again! :)

+yappadooify yes, you can make your own self-raising flour by using all-purpose & baking powder. Combine 120g all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp salt. Hope this helps. Good luck & Enjoy!

hi can I add a bit of sugar for the pastry? if yes do I need to add extra water or butter? and can I change the water to milk haha too much question isn't .. thanks

+Widya Wong Its not advisable to add sugar to the pastry as the pineapple jam is already sweet enough. Yes, you can use milk but make sure its cold. Hope this helps. Thanks.
