Old Fashioned Soft Molasses Cookies Recipe

Old fashioned soft molasses cookies recipe, very soft, and once you start eating it is hard to stop.

3/4 cup softened unsalted butter or shortening
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 cup molasses
2 12 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
granulated sugar for rolling cookies
Put dry ingredients together and mix, mix wet together, combine both, set oven at 350 degrees, use cookie scoop, roll in sugar put on baking pan, bake 13-15 minutes.

Yum, they’re baking in the oven right now! I was wondering: did you chill yours? Because I had to add more flour into my dough in order to make it firm enough to roll in sugar or it would be too soft. However, they were perfect! Soft & chewy and flavorsome! Great recipe.
