I agree! I have a shady yard and hot pink (geraniums) is always a lovely welcome and a sure sign of spring. If I lived closer I would’ve purchased all of it. A vase for my office, the dining room table, corner of my living room, the spare bedroom, for my mom, and all of my aunts and my sister in law. 🌷🌷🌷

I too have been in love with flowers since I was a little girl. I used to pick my grandma a bouquet of wild mustard every spring... To me they were a pretty yellow flowers .🤭 Once I moved beyond the wild weed to better things, my grandma would send out my younger cousins to pick her a bouquet of mustard . 😂 I didn't know she did it until recently, she said it brought back many good memories. Now ... I sometimes use them as a filler for bouquets that need just a touch of yellow, in memory of my grandma.

I grew pretty princess this year as well in my raised veggies beds (Green Bay, WI, 5a). Also very short stems and multiple blooms per stalk and the foliage is so interesting! I’m glad you decided to harvest them!

I just wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. You are a huge reason as to why I was able to get my first Dahlia tubers into the ground yesterday. I have a lot more to learn (you can see in my profile if you're interested in a super amateur video haha), but I wanted you to know how much you inspire others. I have been saving up to buy my first home for 13 years, and one of the main reasons I wanted a home was for the garden. I finally purchased a home in December and have been frantically researching ever since. I just barely was able to get my hands on some good local Dahlia tubers in December because of your videos, otherwise I would have never known that I had to order them so early. I feel you on those allergies!!! We live in eastern Washington state and my allergies have never been this awful!! I totally understand! I can't bend over to work in the garden because of the sinus pressure!!! We need a good hard rain to wash all the pine pollen away! Pretty Princess is one of my favorites. I grew it for the first time in 2017 and I’ve grown it every year since then. It’s really hardy and long lasting too

I purchased a couple varieties of tulips that are multiples like your pink. I actually started labeling all the things I plant in my 200 x 6 foot mixed border because so many people were stopping and asking what were the names and varieties of so many of my bulbs, shrubs and plants. They really enjoyed the multiple stem/blooms of tulips and daffodils. My astilbe didn’t bloom the first year and I actually thought I killed them with too much sun but they came up stronger and larger and are blooming. Thanks

My allergies are sooooo bad this year! Somewhat relieved to know it isn't just me, but wish that you weren't feeling the same way! Maybe I am also just going too hard as well. I have to keep reminding myself that there are literally only so many hours in the day, and I can only do so much. Remember, even though we loooovvvee what we are doing, we still get tired and just need a break. Take the time to sit down, and enjoy that cup of coffee. If stolen moments are all we get for now....enjoy every one!

You are hilarious. I was totally expecting a crazy mutated tulip and then you show us this happy, bright flaming pink tulip and my mind automatically says... "Oh so pretty!". Oh Nicole! The tree line will look just gorgeous!!! Yea a few years ago I stated to be more affected by allergies. Now I have those 24hr allergy meds that I take almost daily in early spring/summer, then when necessary the rest of summer and fall. Also I like bright coloured flowers but paler pastel colours in quilts.

You need to put a cattle panel arbor on the path to your cousins house with a flowering vine....oh with a chair and a pouch for your flask when you have to have a pick me up...🤣🍹

Doubling my D3/K2 vitamin to 20 iu (as per my doctor suggested) stopped my allergies, even though I am getting lots of sun. If I get asthma attack, I take 40K , even though that sounds crazy, it works and I no longer have bad asthma. Also, cramps in feet legs is low magnesium/potassium- Love learning all about flowers! Thank you!

I have 3 dwarf mock orange plants under my bay window. One year, this incredible fragrance wafted in the window. I didn't know about pruning schedules back then. I know I won't have blooms this year. I coppiced them to about 6" high. They are starting to leaf out.
