Your corsages are the best I have seen, I love this method.

Thank you so much for saying something nice on my feed!!! I'm so glad it helped you! I agree, I really love doing cuffs and pin-ons now, whereas before, I didn't enjoy it at all. The nice thing is you can do it several days in advance when you have extra time and it's really cathartic. XOXOX, Amy

Thank you so much! I'll be making this over and over for a high school formal in my neighborhood. I LOVE IT. You are so cute, we both have freckly arms and hands and wear a jade bracelet. Mine hasn't come off for 17 years. LOVE your tutorials.

OMG, we should be real friends!!!! I got my jade bracelet when I was around 20 years old....I waited tables with a Vietnamese girl with whom I became good friends with. She got it for me in Vietnam, and had her grandmother put it on for me. I literally yelped it hurt so bad and I was bruised over for a week or so. Totally worth it and wouldn't take it off for anything! I'm so glad the tutorials help, and I hope to see what you make! Shoot us over some pics on Insta so we can swoon at your work. XOXOXO, Amy

I hate making corsages with a fiery passion 😅 Hopefully one day I will learn to appreciate them. Thank you for all of your great content!
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
Ok, I 100% used to feel the EXACT SAME WAY! However, once I realized I could make it early and pop it in a hydration chamber I really started to enjoy it. I think the reason why I hated them before is I would make them the day before or the day of and I was hella busy so I didn't enjoy the detailed work of it. Try making them early and see how you feel about it! XOXOXO

@@FlowerMoxie you totally nailed it, I always do them in a mad panic the day of! I will for sure try out a hydration chamber ☀️

You make these looks so pretty and simple. I know nothing about flowers are greenery. I'm trying to diy these again for my son's wedding in 15 days
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
You can definitely do it! Corsages can seem intimidating but are really fun to put together! Remember that corsages are made from small snips of greenery and small buds of flowers, don't try to work with flowers that are too big. Some great flowers to use for corsages are ranunculus, spray rose buds and mini carnation buds. They're pretty easy to find at a local grocery store and the small buds and blooms on the flowers are hardy and will hold up on a corsage. We definitely recommend practicing ahead of the big day to make sure that you're feeling confident!

Absolutely loved your tutorial. I thought I was the only one who loathed doing small tedious projects. 😂🤣 I too love installations & larger projects. However, after successfully completing 40 party bags with florals my customers no longer allow me to decline a project - big or small.

Can the bracelet be salvaged once the event is over or does the glue ruin it? These are just so gorgeous!
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
You can definitely salvage the wristlet! You'll need to peel the glue and floral off, but the wristlet base should be totally fine for you to use again!

Do you find the damp towel at the bottom of the hydration chamber makes the cardboard soft and floppy?
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
No, but I'm pretty minimal with it and make sure it's lightly damp. =)

Amy, I'm definitely going to use this technique for upcoming wedding corsage work. I see the Crowning Glory in the video but you don't mention it. Is it then not necessary if using your dynamite hydration chamber? Thanks for all these great videos!
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
Using Crowning Glory or misting with water always helps! This is definitely a good habit to get into before placing into your hydration chamber. A lot of flowers can drink through their petals so having that extra moisture always helps!

Will do! Thanks a bunch (see what I did there?) @@FlowerMoxie

So if you're making these for a Thursday evening wedding. When should the flowers be delivered?
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
I typically always deliver the flowers the day of the event unless they are requested early. In that case, I'd hand over the bouts and corsages in the hydration chamber and instruct them to keep it sealed in the refrigerator. Just make sure you CYA on early delivery and you're not liable to refund or replace the flowers. I once had a bride that had to have her peony bouquet one day early and she put it in a super cold AirBnB fridge and froze them. Eeep!

What size was that tupperware you used as the hydration chamber? I want to make sure I have one that's big/tall enough. :)
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
I think mine is around 3'' tall, but I'd probably prefer 4-5'' for cuff clearance! XOXOX

Hi! Do you spray with Crowning Glory? Do you it before you put it in the hydration chamber or after you take it out?
@FlowerMoxie3 ай бұрын
Not always since the hydration chamber does a great job but you definitely can!
@ailsatessier6395 Жыл бұрын
One more question: How do you keep the cardboard from getting wet in the hydration chamber?
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
It might get slightly damp, but not enough to break down! You also just want the paper towel to be slightly "damp", not saturated!

What are the approximate dimansions of the cardboard used for the backiing of the corsages?
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
The size of the cardboard backing that you choose will depend on the flowers you're using, the wristlet base that you're using as well as the size of the corsage that you're making. A good estimate would be a 2" x 1.25" section of cardboard to start with and then build off of that! You can always trim any excess cardboard off after you've added all of your floral and greenery if it's still showing.
