Love both 40s n 10s , But I would definitely go with the 40s more on the everyday driver versus the 10s. I think 10s are more for a weekend warrior. But then again everyone has there own opinion.

Super 40 is probably the best in my opinion. It gives you the pitch of the super 10 without the ear wrenching crackle from the engine brake.

I'm looking at a k5 blazer now that has true dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's. I was looking at doing two 4x9 super 44's and an h pipe. Now the super 10's are growing on me.

I have the same setup. my 40s broke because of a hanger broke. so I got it fixed and put super 10s on and definitely like the sound of the two. but I'm loving my super 10s right now but I would be happy with either 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've got a 93 Chevy dually with the 454 tbi, stock y-pipe, no cat, and a single in, single out 3" original 40. Whether you keep your cat or not makes a fair bit of difference in volume, at least it did on mine. It's a little boomy at cruise, but DAMN, put the windows down and stomp on it, and she really thinks she's an LS6 Chevelle! (Sound wise at least)

I have an American Thunder single side exit on my 94 Silverado and my 95 GMC Sierra. I love how it doesn't sound overly annoying when you start it up. Doesn't wake the neighbors either. Super 10 dual side exit on the other hand? Massive drone and horrible idle tone. American Thunder is my favorite Flowmaster system.

Those 40s do not sound broken in yet. It takes at least about 1000 miles or so before they start to sound how they should. I know it makes no sense but these all steel mufflers do need to be broken in.

on my truck I have hooker headers and the exhaust goes straight off of them and goes straight down the frame into cherry bombs and then done and out the side on back of tire to a 3" exhaust tip I have to say I found that, that system sounds the best really loud too

The Flowmaster Super 10 Dual In/Dual Out Is Around 70$ On Amazon. Its A Inexspensive True Dual Setup. I Run One On My 01 v10 that comes factory with 2 Catalytic Converters. One Huge Ass Muffler and a single tail pipe out thr passengers side. I converted it to true duals. Lol

+Country Gamer Believe it or not dynos show most newer cars are so dialed in you can actually lose quite a bit of low end hp/tq by removing the cats. You can gain on the high end though. Federal law states all vehicles from 1975 to present must have a cat but usually states dictate fines / tickets and it varies but in a court they go by federal guideline so don't fight a ticket you'll lose. If you remove them be prepared to pay a hefty fine in most states. Our city cops carry tailpipe sniffers in their cars and have for decades.

How's the super 10 on interstate, I have ram 5.9 360 deciding between 44 and 10 will be doing lots of driving does it drone inside or get annoying. I've got headers and high flow cats and a single pipe like stock configuration. My brothers got dual 44s on his 72 Chevy and they are nice but once they get up to cruise speed they lose a lot of their bite.

i just ordered a super 10 from amazon 73$ with 2 day shipping, for my 2004 f150... amazon said " this product will not fit your truck!" i mean i'd immagine a fucking muffler shop could make it work... they bend and weld and fab shit all day, i dont see how it couldn't fit...

Sometimes it can be something simple such as available space under the vehicle. If you choose a muffler with dimensions that don't favor the space available under your car, they could say "it won't fit". But yes most muffler shops can find a way to make it work. My Genesis Coupe isn't even a "compatible" vehicle on Flowmasters page, but I know plenty of people who have Flowmaster mufflers on theirs.

Pretty much any muffler will fit on any vehicle as long as there is enough space, 99% of the time there is because 99% of the time the muffler people put on is half the size or less than the stock muffler lol.
