When is Dayton Fix going to continue trying to score and wrestle these entire matches?? I mean it’s just ridiculous that a guy who is this talented stops trying to score and just hold on. I am just tired of it and don’t want to even watch him anymore because of it.

if he spent more time wrestling and less slapping his opponent maybe he'd do better
@adriant25392 ай бұрын
Stop waiting for it to happen. He's just simply not dynamic enough against long, fast guys or guys with good head/hands defense. He has nothing to offer from the outside and hits nothing above the waist in close. He's got in-close tie-ups with straight-on below-the-waist attacks. That's it. If those are off the table, he's stuck waiting for the other guy. If he had a Russian tie/foot sweep or something else above the waist, or if he could create any sort of angles to hit something from distance, he would be an Olympic champion.
@b.b.50482 ай бұрын
He is the perfect wrestler in terms of speed, strength and athleticism. He just can't generate offense against high level guys. He's a counter guy, but would love to see him develop an unstoppable attack.

Just goes to show parents they don’t need to hold back their sons 1-2 years if they’re super talented, hard working and smart. Guys like Blaze have proven especially recently they can beat guys who are 8-9 years older than them, who are multiple time National Tournament Finalists and Senior Level Medalists. The future of USA is extremely bright.

I’ll never understand why nobodies like hating on successful people. Why not highlight Blaze accomplishment. What about Nashon Garrett and Seth Gross, why not comment on them “blowing.” 💀
@MrGuanYu12 ай бұрын
@@xzjayz7925 Because that's Daton's MO and has been since he went to Stillwater. Extremely talented and yet refuses to let it fly against good opponents and ends up losing matches he could have won had he actually put forth an offense. Not commenting on Nashon and Seth is because they weren't relevant to the title of this video. As far as Blaze goes he wrestled out of his mind during the trials but that doesn't negate Fix's coming up short yet again. Just my opinion.
@MrGuanYu12 ай бұрын
@@birdman9043 I'm not sure about that. When he actually wrestles and doesn't stall he's phenomenal. The problem is that he locks it down against good opposition and stalls most of the time. He's one of the more frustrating wrestlers for me to watch.

I hate refs. Blaze put on the clock, then right after Daton controls centre with collar tie, tries a shot which is downblocked, controls centre again with collar tie and immediately gets his first passivity warning. I swear the referees are your second opponent in wrestling now. Can't stand it.

Fix has lost a few matches he never should have. Every now and then you just have an off day. Fix lost to Nick Suriano - a lot of people say it was the ref. Fix also lost to MArcus Blaze. Blaze is no slouch but Fix would beat him 9 out of 10 times all day long - again - an off day.
