This kid isn't just a great wrestler, he's one hell of an athlete. Can see him have multiple scholarship offers from many Colleges and sports. Wrestling is a bit tougher to get big scholarships that are full rides, but football is loaded with NIL cash & fill ride scholarships. I would hate to lose this talented wrestler to football. However, which other sport he plays, I hope he gets a quality education....

I don't understand why people think NIL deals are large ........ They are publicly disclosed........ The only people getting large NIL deals are athletes with large social media followings and famous parents....... The highest NIL deals are LeBron's son, Deion sanders son, Archie Manning and Livy Dune....... The Average NIL deal is $400. Most players receive literally nothing...... If boosters wanted to pay players....... They would NOT use NIL deals to do it........ Did Ben Kueter get an NIL deal? Nope........

If he is 15 or 16 like most sophomores he will grew in to heavyweight. It will be interesting to watch his journey. Hopefully guys like Kueiter have success playing both sports, and this kid and many more will follow. Many successful NFL players wrestles. Hopefully this trend continues. When I couched, I had a Junior football player come out. 215 so we did not worry about weight. The next fall, the football coach said what did you do to him. He has jumped levels. He is always in position and tackles better than anyone on the team. What was sad, after that year the new football coach ( who also wrestled in high school) wanted all his guys in the weight room and very few wrestled after that. Football and track coaches often hurt out sport, and in the long run hurt their own sport. I can't tell you how many times we have had heavyweights come out their Senior year. That all say the same thing. I wish I had ignored the football coach and come out earlier.

We are looking at one of the most extraordinary college wrestling athletes ever captured on video. Consider for a sec another football/wrestling phenom, Ben Keuter. We've all watched those videos; despite never being in jeopardy, Keuter didn't utterly dominate ALL his opponents -- not like this. Ross can barely hunch down enough to contain his height, then generates unreal torque up his legs through his shoulders. When he's running a wing or a blast double, notice that he's not buckling or repositioning to complete the move. Dude's like a fused piece of iron springing open in one unstoppable direction. I don't know which sport he'll focus on or maybe follow the Keuter route; but Good Lord I can't think of a body type/style to weather him (Chance Marsteller maybe?)

@@bigbaldandugly I'm sorry, but first of all, what a stupid metric. Pulling off "crazy moves," isn't a requirement to be a great Wrestler. MOST high-level matches are won with the things you learn your first year in the sport. Watch Taylor or Dake or the guys who BEAT Nickal at the higher levels. Or Kyle Snyder or Sadulaev, Saitiev, the greatest EVER. They weren't thriving on spladles or other fluke moves. In fact, most Wrestlers who do rely on those(Dylan Ness) they're generally more erratic. Second, Nickal was a 74/84. Not a 215. So that's also just a bad comp. Third, watch 4 of Nickal's matches where he dominates and then compare him to someone with a highly renowned Career and see if you think that's a fair comp. The kid is slick as shit, he's incredibly quick and...I'm at a loss for why pulling off "crazy moves like Bo nickal did," would be the standard you'd use for a (edit)* 16-year-old kid. He just turned 16...so not a 15 year old.
@bigbaldandugly
@bigbaldandugly 5 ай бұрын
@@scourge8097 you're right pulling off crazy moves doesnt make you a great wrestler. This kid is a beast. But from watching he doesn't do anything slick or crazy technique wise. His Blast double and arm bar aren't slick moves. They are hard nose old school wrestling and they work great for him. I'd honestly would rather this kid than some defensive minded kid who can scramble out of any position.

@@bigbaldandugly He is. He looks like the hunchback of Notre Dame when he's in his stance his back is so friggin thick. He's just on another level. I'd heard of this kid, but not seen him yet. Seeing him just walk through Iowa's best is...impressive. Especially as I know he doesn't Wrestle an easy schedule and he was still 45-0. Not sure if he's going to be the next Keuter, but he looks like he's on that level at his age.

I always feel that Americans have a chip on their shoulder towards other nations. Why is that? Like everything is a competition of proving to be "the best country in the world" (I don't know how you would measure that). I think Americans needs to be able to laugh at themself and their country. Just remember most people like Americans (even though they might not agree with American foreign policies).

He seems like a good athlete that needs to watch hours of watching quality wrestling to take it to the next level I’m not sure if it’s a coaching problem yet but he’s to good an athlete to put so little of a fight on shot defense

Not trying to throw shade but I seriously question the age of this young man. I’ve seen him in person and watched him wrestle and he does not have the presence of a normal teenage. If he’s NOT the age of a normal sophomore, is it really fair to his competitors who are? In other words, if he’s already 18 or 19, then physically and mentally he’s more developed and more mature than other 15/16 year old guys. Just saying.
