Will say Gilman is not talking like his past self. Him saying regardless of the outcome he’s gonna do his best and “showing weakness” is not like him. This new Gilman is cool! Hope he moves up to 61kg, him and Vito could rule that weight class.

So many guys in the top tier in wrestling that are devoted to following Jesus. All glory to God. Thomas, you can tell so much that you’ve changed by switching wrestling clubs. It’s awesome to see. God has worked immensely in your life and it’s evident blessings on your journey with Him.

What’s it mean to get back to Penn State? 🤦🏻 reporters need to do their homework and actually know the sport and the athletes. You’re talking to wrestling royalty. Have enough respect to know where they’re from and where they wrestled in college.

I love Gilman, and I’ve got nothing against faith… or religion… and especially someone who can find meaning and hope in that… but this interview solidified 1000% what I had always wondered about Penn State. That there is some weird religious cult-like things going on in that room
@ryanyoung80297 ай бұрын
That they have faith in God? Lol seems like you do have issues with religion
@noBearAdventures6 ай бұрын
@@ryanyoung8029 I guess I would ask you… do you think there’s cult-like behavior with all of the trials going on in Utah with multiple parents killing their children in the name of God for the Church of Latter Day Saints? My point is that there is religion… and then there’s fanaticism. I’m sorry you don’t see it, but Penn State wrestling culture goes VERY hard with the religious rhetoric. WAY more than the average “community” Nothing against god my guy. Just find fanaticism weird
@noBearAdventures6 ай бұрын
@@ryanyoung8029 I also don’t see the need to preach about your own beliefs, and throw it into every sentence of every interview. If you are very faithful and staunch in your beliefs, why is it necessary to let the entire world know with every sentence? Either you’re trying to convince yourself how pious you are… or you’re trying to convert people. Either way, I don’t find that necessary. But that’s just my opinion

@@noBearAdventures You just find telling people about how faith and God affects your life weird. You're okay with people being religious as long as the hide it from you? lol
@noBearAdventures6 ай бұрын
@@ryanyoung8029 yes. 100%. Faith should be a personal thing right? Doesn’t feel very personal when you’re shoving it down everybody’s throat. I love my wife. If I went around telling everybody every two minutes how much I loved her… Maybe people might question if I actually do. Or why I need to tell everybody every two seconds. Most people would think that’s pretty weird. And if you can’t see that… You’re in complete denial
