"My uncle Roger Mayweather has lost a lot of memory from the sport of boxing...he's only in his 50's, but it seems like he's an old man in his 80's...boxing is wear and tear on the body...he don't even know who I am anymore...he's not doing well...he's not sharp as he used to be, and you must realize, me and my uncle Roger was fighting professional at the same time...it hurts," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who spoke candidly about how the health condition of his uncle and trainer, Roger Mayweather, has influenced his decision to retire after his next fight. Check it out!

Kay Why lol the double standard... "he ain't getting nothing if he don't fight manny" wins the fight and no one credits him, now we hear " he won't get anything unless he gives manny a rematch" will win that if he does it again and still won't get credit. No matter what this guys in a lose lose situation with you boxing "fans"

@WillyD1 Uncle Roger was the one to step up and take care of Floyd when his father turned to selling drugs and had to go to prison. Floyd was extremely hurt behind his father’s actions. Roger told him that if he wanted to be champion he make sure he became one. When Floyd got gypped in the Olympics of the gold medal it was Roger who consoled him and kept Floyd focused. Floyd as a teenager had a volital temper. Roger was the one who told Floyd about the business side of boxing because of all the money Sr and Roger made that they never got. Floyd has more love for Roger than for Sr. Jr and Sr relationship is on/off again. Roger was consistent and always there. Floyd had more respect for his uncle than he did his father.

One of the greatest fighters of all time. Top 5 easy showing that at the end of the day he's human as well. We all go thru things. Some love him, most hate him but you have to respect what he has done for the sport for two decades. 20 years later and he is still at the top, they will apprecuate what he has done once he retires. They did the same with Ali. Sad to hear about Roger having to deal with such things. Praying for him and the Mayweather family.

Floyd was born in poverty, but he rose above adversities. He was hated by many, however his heart was displayed in every fight. He chose the path of compromises, but he in stood victory. He earned the respect that others can only dream of. Floyd Mayweather Jr. proved his loyalty to the world and he owes the no one. His name is listed above all great boxers, because he is a fighter, warrior, leader and above all of that he will always be A TRUE LEGEND. Therefore, those who hated should appreciate the one great that dominate and never forgot his faith. Floyd Mayweather Jr (TMT) is his own man and his family caregiver. Love your family, because without them there would be no you. You has raised the stakes so high, by showing loving, compassion, carving and support for your family (Roger Mayweather). How many other can and will do that? You are showing the world after boxing you are still an undisputed and undefeated champ.

Floyd Mayweather Breaks down that his Uncle Roger is not doing to well.Roger is only 54 years old and He doesn't even remember who he is because of the punishment and the wear and tear of the sport of Boxing. So that is just another reason why Floyd has decided to retire after this fight! Floyd says that's why i take pride in not taking any unnecessary punishment come fight night. Defense is so overlooked and it is so important in the sport of Boxing If you wanna have a life after boxing. You need defensive skills. He says his family and his health are much more important than a big paycheck or just money period! Lil Floyd you are now full grown Floyd. I admire you for the love and compassion you show for your Uncle Roger. I’m from Grand Rapids and still reside here. I’m your Dad age and went to Sheldon elementary and South high. You are truly a loving nephew and I know that your family are extremely proud of you as Grand Rapids Mi is. All the best to you and yours... I’m pulling for you.

Man! Roger Mayweather the Black Mamba....I really hope he does recover some and live a while longer. I miss Roger saying "You don't know sh** about boxing!" I hope they look into using raw foods to reverse the effects of diabetes and heart disease. But it will be up to Roger to agree to doing such. My dad passed away from diabetes but it does not have to be so for Roger. Medical doctors can show you how to use the raw foods diet and a doctor will have to regulate the intake of insulin if necessary until there will be no need for it. Diabetes and dementia is treatable and reversible. but you must find the right people to work with you to walk through the process to recovery.

for ALL his money - there are few people who can carry it as well as Floyd Jr - he never gets enough credit for that - most everyone had as much money would turn them into far different person than Floyd is - when he talks he makes a lot of sense but too few people want to hear him when he is talking open and honest like this - they prefer the business-side of Floyd and like to attack him for that

If someone can talk to Floyd on here tell him to seek alternative medicine! Floyd has the money to take him to the best holistic doctor money can buy. Synthetic drugs from big-pharma will only worsen him. A lot of healthy fat (omega 3 and 6) helps mental health.

Floyd is a very good man. He really looks after those close to him and you can feel his pain about his uncle and father. A high school classmate of mine won a silver medal in boxing at the Olympics and he also suffered from the effects of boxing as he grew older so I know exactly what he's talking about. Another take from this video...try to make a real loving difference in the lives of others one day at a time.

Siege There are foods that can regenerate brain stem cells, therefore in saying that, there are ways to minimise damage.....minimise, I didn't say fully heal. Do your research before you comment. Foolish comment as you didn't fully acknowledge what I said. I said diet plays a "huge role" It's common sense that a healthier person would be less vulnerable to illnesses than a unhealthy person. If you can't give a constructive reply, I won't bother replying.
