How much the guitar cost you?

Wow that is a beautiful 5150, Craig does great work. Btw just curious why do you prefer gotoh Floyd’s?
@Col_MULLY5 жыл бұрын
A few reasons I prefer Gotoh over Original Floyd Rose. 1. I’ve been living in Japan for almost 30 years. I know firsthand how Japanese people work, the pride they take in their work, and their attention to detail along with their standards of high quality. I have no doubts about the quality of Gotoh parts. 2. Music Man guitars, i.e. the Ernie Ball Van Halen model, used Gotoh tremolos. They still use Gotoh parts on all of their guitars. I don’t think Music Man would scrimp and use low quality parts. Let’s also remember that Eddie himself gave the ok for that on his signature model. Good enough for Eddie Van Halen, good enough for me. 3. They look 10 times better. The shape, the rounded edges, etc... it looks like an updated version of the original. Looks great!! 4. Last but DEFINITELY not least, price. A chrome Gotoh Floyd can be had for just under 100 dollars, I believe they’re like 96 bucks. You could buy 2 Gotoh’s for the price of an original Floyd. I’ll never use anything other than Gotoh parts if I don’t have to. A couple of my guitars have Schaller tuning keys, but, since trying Gotoh tuning keys I won’t go back. Damn, I could have made a video about that. Maybe I will.

MULLY I agree I think gotohs are amazing and yes cheaper price, but I think new axis guitars stoped using them 😞

What kind of tuners are those?
@Col_MULLY3 жыл бұрын
They are Gotoh Magnum locking tuners in Cosmo Black finish.

I bought a digitech drop tune pedal and with a Floyd it's a breeze to step on a pedal and change my tuning

Fantastic! I didn't know something like that even existed. I'm so out of touch.

Yeah, not as bad as it seems once you get into doing it.
