I’m a big fan of this one for a weird reason. It’s essentially if an EBMM Axis had a baby with a Kramer Baretta.

I have owned a hellified amount of guitars, and I’ve really liked some of them, and I didn’t care for some of them. The best guitar I’ve owned by a long shot is an EBMM. When it comes to fit and finish, components, playability, and being super nice right out of the box, you cannot beat their guitars.

All this is missing is neck binding to make it perfect. Also, if you were going for the Cantrell vibe you should've gone with a Kahler Hybrid or Professional bridge. A Motor City Afwayu would've been a plus too since that's what Cantrell uses and it's based on the JB.

I really dislike bridge pickups lmao, I never use the middle or bridge. Always on the neck position on my 335, SG, Fender Strat, Les Paul. I would do a reverse style Stingray with only a neck pickup. A Fishman Fluence single coil format or any good humbucker with the Single coil voice. I'm just that kind of guy. I prefer passive pickups but with a one pickup guitar you should have a Fishman Fluence for versatility purposes and maybe a piezo system for more unique sounds.

I don't know why but I generally don't like the look of single pickup guitars (personal opinions no right or wrong implied), and at the start of the video i didn't dig it, but the more the video went on, the more it started to grow on me, Love the inlays too, i think it gives something extra to look at with the absence of a neck pickup

Nah, they're usually cheaper than the HH or HSS variants. Plus they look better, are simpler, and possibly have better sustain without other pickups interfering (although not sure if anyone's actually proved this last point).

Not everyone needs a neck pickup, or at least not all the time. I have sevearl 1-humbucker guitars, and if I ever need any other pickups, I have more guitars for those applications :) It's always easy to rout out the guitar for a neck pickup if wanted. But for a guitar without pickguard, and you would prefer it as a 1-hum guitar visually, it would require a lot of work to fill the holes and refinish with the right color and everything. I appreciate simple 1-hum guitars coming out lately to allow everone to fit their taste!

Given the price of electric guitars these days, it defies reason that anyone would be willing to pay those astronomical prices for an instrument with only one pickup. I guess there's no shortage of people out there who consider a tonally castrated instrument desirable. I'm definitely NOT one of them; I would never throw away my hard earned money on a one trick pony. Painting with a single color is called doodling.
