I have made these pancakes many times. This is by far the BEST pancake recipe I have ever seen. It makes a wonderful light fluffy pancake, especially if you let the batter sit for 30 minutes before frying.

It seems as though the website isn't available anymore. For anyone interested in trying these they were really nice, not overly sweet and they were fluffy. I used my AP Flour starter discard and AP Flour. I also used 1 bobs egg replacer instead of a flax egg. 120g flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 flax egg (3tbs warm water 1tbs ground flax), 100-150ml soy milk, 2 mashed bananas, 100g unfed starter.

@@foodieinspirator875 I made them yesterday. I was extremely happy. I seemed to get a better pancake with a slightly stiff rather than a loose batter. This made for very puffy pancakes.

Hello from New York👋...Wow,the pancakes really looks sooo delicious 😋...Can i substitute with unsweetened apple sauce or pumpkin puree, instead of the bananas?...Thank u!!

Hi Lori, and thank you for your message! Honestly j have never tried with either, the only difference would probably be that the mixture would be wetter so you might need to add more flour. But you absolutely could try, it might even rise more! Let me know how it goes if you do! 😉😊

what is a dormant starter and is that necessary? I am wanting to start out my attempt at sourdough so researching what I can use the starter on, so I am a total beginner hence the probably simple question :)

@foodieinspirator875 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Aisha! To answer your question a dormant starter is simply a starter that has not been fed for some time so usually around a couple of days to a week! You can use the sourdough starter on just about anything to be honest. From pizza base to pancakes, to crumpets, scones, croissants and actual bread and focaccia. Lots of options! 😊
