Ok hear me out. I figured this one out by accident from watching my cousins lay this stuff down as hunters. If you look up deer browse (deer attractant) seed is a lovely combination of daikon radish, turnip greens, broccoli rabe. etc. This stuff is mean to be cast on the ground and then just walk away. These greens grow like weeds with no attention. You can harvest at any stage really and have you seen the price of broccoli rabe?

I have only had luck with rosemary and basil. My kitchen window gets the right amount of sun. I have a wall mounted planter and a window ledge garden. I regrow green onions all the time. I have summer savoury outside that is on its 3rd season; that's after freezing solid each winter! Trying my basil outside for the first time...wish me luck!

I was captivated by so many things in watching this video! Scrolling through KZbin for sweet zucchini breads, etc., I just had to see what a handsome young man of color cooked. Your presentation in this video was so entertaining. First, the way each ingredient is prepared and measured, this background music (which adds to me a dash of mystery…lol), your obvious appreciation of ALL of your recipes, your casual style, and thinking that your Mama did a wonderful job of nurturing your skill in the food preparation arena! Thank you so much.

I am so pumped you posted these! I picked up my CSA farm share today and have 4 really large zucchini. Gonna make that loaf first, cause I was thinking about muffins. Just want to say thanks for saying meal prep for the stuffed zucchini recipe. No one in my family likes zucchini, so I’m gonna make these for my lunches. You save me at least once a week, and I am grateful. There are golden zucchini, BTW. Last thing, last week I made yellow squash tater tots and they were amazing! I’m thinking this week I’ll add some old bay and make them more like crab cakes, cause they had that consistency. Thanks for always bringing us great recipes!

@thenarddogcooks2 жыл бұрын
Zucchini has a real neutral flavor. The difference between it and ice is its green, has a little texture (that you cant tell in any of the recipes) and has more nutrients. depending on the recipe, say like the boats, you can sub for bell peppers or something like that.
@jomams10402 жыл бұрын
If you have time you can take your zucchinis and cut them in half a quarters and put them on paper towels or something heavy on top and it takes the water out of them and then when you go to use them for your whatever you're making for your meal you don't have to so you can like do that in advance and then you'll have to squeeze the water out of me 😁

Faux pineapple? Colour me intrigued. How do you make that?
@debiesubaugher2 жыл бұрын
@@barbaraparland it's super simple, here's the recipe I use INGREDIENTS: 4 qts cubed or shredded zucchini (16 cups) 46 oz canned unsweetened pineapple juice 1 1/2 cups bottled lemon juice 3 cups sugar Throw everything into a pot and simmer for 20 minutes. Makes about 8 pints of you want to can it. My kids like to throw a diced jalapeño in sometimes.
