Thanks, Nsptural85! I'm going to see how this works on my short hair. I've been getting the Bantu knots so my hair is very curly for the first few days. Hopefully, this cocoon curl gives me coil plus volume.

So, I've tried this twice and I love how it came out. Defined, yet fluffy and voluminous. I also tried her twist out method, which I was afraid to try because I thought I would suck at it, but I got the hang :) I especially like how it helps to define a chunk of my hair that's damaged. Two thumbs up!

goodness gracious i feel like your hair has doubled in the last 39.5 weeks of your life! your twists are sooo long! and beautiful... i'm nowhere near that length, but i'll do the bootlegg version of the hair style. i cant do bantu knots right, mine always came out looking like this without intentions and my hair became knotted because i didnt know what i was doing. now i have a guide to go off of. this is great im doing this or something like this tonight. thanks Whit Whit!

You have no idea how much your styles save me time in the morning for work. I am trying this on an old curlformers set tonight. If I like it I can wear it out. If its too fluffy I can bun it. Either way I'll have a great textured option.

i JUST went natural, and this was the first hairstyle i tried on my own. my hair is short, so it didn't turn out looking exactly like this, but it made it fluffy and it was perfect for work. i got complimented on it, i was so excited i didn't fail! =D these tutorials are great! if they can help me (being the fail i am), they're amazing! thank you so much!
@GoodMomBeauty12 жыл бұрын
I'm at the same point you are and I did it on my hair and it turned out nice. I loved the definition and fullness after I separated and fluffed it out. I had middle part. I'm going to do it again. If you don't like how it turns out you'll have stretched hair with texture to it. You can turn it into a puff or bun. Also someone suggested using one finger instead of two if your hair is shorter.

That is SOOOO creative, CUTE! Love it. My hair is about shoulder length stretched so I think I have a little while to go before I can get the spiral look after the cocoon method. My hair is currently in flat twists per YOUR method with the ends in bantu knots (23 altogether). I just took out the bantu knots and I have a little bit of a spiral curl on the ends. I will take out the flat twists later today. I had them in for 2 days. I have high hopes for this style and hope it turns out cute.
