Reminds me of when I had an Xbox 360. One time the ejection button on the fucker broke off. It never opened again. Not one store said they could put the button back on. However, they said there were was aN "operation" on how to have it open, but it took TWO FREAKING HOURS, just to open it! Screw that. Let's just say I'm not a patient person, so I just got a new one that has a touch power button and touch ejection button. That one doesn't get the red ring of death. Thank God.

To be fair, it wasn’t Frankie’s fault his phone got stolen. He was responsible and put it in his locker instead of having it on him in class, and someone else stole it, which wasn’t his fault. Every teacher I’ve ever had tells you to keep your phone in your locker so it’s not a distraction in class.

Along with calling collect - and the need to get creative - were prepaid phone cards. After my parents discovered those when I went on my first band spring trip in..... .... ....... ...... 1995, they made sure my brother and I both always had one with us because it was cheaper than calling collect and we didn't need to worry about pocket change. You just had to make sure you didn't lose it.

My son bugged me about getting a Nintendo back in the late 80s. Couldn't afford one so he never got one. Fast forward to his son being 8 and getting several game systems for Christmas, and him rubbing it in that his sons weren't going to be deprived. Told him I felt a place to live,food on the table and clothes on his back were more important than some d*mned game system.
