That is kind of the idea. DiMA and the synths of Acadia spend a lot of time talking about how evil the Institute is for their actions and how wrong the Railroad is for their solutions, but at the end of the day they do the same (And sometimes in a more evil fashion). DiMA is a false good guy. If you dont pay atention, you will think that his ending is the best one. If you do, however...

TheIceWarrior Destroy the Nucleus, help Far Harbor, make the Institute recover the synths. That way, the island will be cleaned (No Nucleus = Less fog), Far Harbor will reclaim it, the synths will return to live peacefully (If in a oppresive manner) in the Institute, and DiMA`s AI will be kept for study.

ariel sharpe I guess we all have different ideas on what "best ending" means. Granted, I support the Institute as well (It is, after all, the best faction in the long term), but I don't see massacre and enslaving as the best way to end it.

I'm happy with where I ended up. I made DiMA confess, and prevented Allen from attacking Acadia, and I convinced Tektus that ''they should embrace division''. I was going to go for ultra-peace originally, but DiMA just went absolutely against my beliefs (he acted a lot like the institute), so I ended up doing the best I could without supporting him.

My character is Evil to the core. The Wiki states Kasumi is not a synth, I told her parents she is a synth and persuaded them to let her stay, arguably causing family tension in the long run, over a lie. I hit the kill switch for Far Harbour and Executed Longfellow, The Institute reclaimed all of the synths at Acadia and Myself and High Confessor Tektus rule the Island, should he backstab me, I'll just have gage unleash his Alien Blaster on him.

Caleb Mayfield well, my actual choice was to destroy all faction safe Far Harbor and Minutemen since the game limits me SO much in OBVIOUS solutions. But I would have really prefered to see DiMA accepting not just "the end justifies the means", but consequences of his actions(while we simply stroll away despite doing most of the job...)

Damn, Far Harbor is really the best part of Fallout 4. Even better than the main story. I easily can destroy those rad fanatics, because i hate such cults in real life as well, and Children of Atom were a danger both to Far Harbor and to Acadia. But destroying Far Harbor? Never. This is something i could never do. Sure, they are not best and kindest people, but they are not crazy and hostile. Most of them went through hell

The most interesting detail is if you destroy Nucleus without telling Dima, he gets angry at first, but understands and accepts it. But if you destroy Far Harbor without telling him, he gets mad and hates you. So even without Sole Survivor's help Dima understood the fact that Children of Atom are much worse, than people of Far Harbor

I've always hated DiMA... he's a defective first gen who has this false ideology that a violent group can live peacefully with a peaceful group. In terms of fanatics in terms of severity it's Institute < Brotherhood < Raiders (their religion is shoot first loot later) < a wild ragstag < a bunny < Children of Atom. All jokes aside I can't think of any benefits to helping to Children take the island. I went as far as "fixing" a pump, saving the one guys brother and replacing Tektus... WAS there a benefit to helping them? I find it so hard to replay this version of Fallout. :/

That's why I took him and his friends back to the Institute during the second walkthrough. And had him brought to Far Harbor and let harbormen to kill him (not the Acadia synths, they understood these guys are innocent because they trusted me) during the first one.

Institute alternative ending for Far Harbor is not exactly about killing DiMA, synths of Arcadia are "disabled" (by shooting them, kek) and then relayed back to the Institute. The BOS just kills everyone.
