Angry, scared or sad, the Inquisitor needs all the hugs she can get. Doesn't matter what prompted it, a hug from a loved one is the best medicine. You don't need a reason to hug someone.

+girl1213 I think I echo the sentiments of many that they have expressed before but it kinda of sucks that only your lover seems to think they can actually give a hug. Some of said - they'd like some of the heart options to be there for more than flirtation. My Inqy deeply cared about Dorian, about Cole, about Cullen, about Varric - the fact that none of them had any romantic interest in her didn't matter. There needs to be more hugs generally.

People say that the sad option makes the hug have more sense, but I believe the hug after the angry one makes just as much sense. At least my Quizzy was always trying to be light-hearted about everything, or at least diplomatic about it, and everything is falling apart - of course she will have an angry breakdown. Having Cullen to just give her such a simple but affectionate act is a thousand times better than someone saying "calm down" or something, even because being told to calm down while angry just makes you more mad. lol

+BloodDrunk Wolf I agree with you. A hug can do wonders to calm someone down, no matter their emotional state. If I was angry, I'd be much happier getting a hug from a loved one than I would having someone tell me to calm down. In fact, "calm down" usually makes me even angrier, lol... It makes even more sense if your Inquisitor is usually nice, and then all of a sudden their emotions overflow and they explode. Makes for great character development.

The voice acting was spot on in this - the vulnerability in admitting that the inquisitor fears their own demise, and then the shift to throw up their walls once more (after a pause of thought) in adding that it's because they're still needed to save the world. Exceptionally done!

I always choose the "THIS FUCKING THING!" dialogue option. I can't imagine staying calm when all that is going on. Just playing Trespasser makes me sweat bullets for hours on end.

Yeah... This scene is rather powerful, the voice acting is impressive. As stated before, the voice actress gives her all... And the hug then makes sense, him hugging her after a cursing storm about how the world can't stop having problems doesn't make much sense... him hugging her as she's saying she's afraid of dying makes sense.

+Zevran08 Depends upon the relationship. I don't tend to anger very easily, and honestly one of the few times I actually tear up is when I'm severely frustrated or angry. When my fiance holds me, it's generally enough to calm me down because I know he's there for me and that I'm not having to carry a burden alone. And to be honest, Cullen is just as scared that he's going to lose you. It's not just to calm you, but because he's terrified about what's to come. It's just as much for you as for him. You're basically a living holy artifact. While you drop your walls with him, you also tend to be so very strong and it takes a lot to upset the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor in general isn't an overly emotional or histrionic type. So to see his wife- a pillar of strength that brought peace - at least temporarily to Thedas - even budge a little worries him. You've faced down Archdemons with a smile, so seeing you upset or scared doubly impacts him. He wants to protect you, but knows he really can't. He's a very tender and vulnerable soul, which is why he is as "cold" and prickly as he can be at times. It's very much a scared little boy holding you here as much as it is the dutiful husband.

Zevran08 It's okay, we're all human and react differently. I'm sure the circumstances would've been different if Cullen had been the one to upset her. I'm fortunate to have a healthy relationship with good communication so I can honestly say in 3 or 4 years it's only been twice that I've actually been angry at my fiance. ( Once for him oversleeping and standing me up when we first started dating --- which he learned very quickly wasn't going to be tolerated even if it was an honest accident. The second time he got curious and wondered if he could chew through my hair...) But it's only been those two times. He's been there to hold me when I've been angry at how they were treating my mother's cancer, when I found out I was getting laid off, and now arguing about my financial aid with the school. He's my biggest advocate and fusses over me... He's the Iron Bull to my Dorian at times. ( although he says I remind him of Sera... ;-;) He lets me vent, gives me that look like I'm the most innocent thing in the world and holds me. I am so grateful - I have no idea how he tolerates me at times. XD

+nanorazor I enjoyed Male Hawke more, to be honest, and I think the English male Inquzzy is pretty good. Humorous Male Hawke never fails to me make groan at a bad joke or laugh at a good one or when he sticks in his foot in his mouth, which he does quite a lot.
