I noticed that most video games since about 2009 have an opaque, matte aesthetic with dingy, muted colours. Unreal Engine 5 is the absolute worst for this. It all blends together into this depressing grey-yellow-brown blob. It's bad enough that every movie and TV show looks like this, but now every game is like it too. It's like the ugly log footage you get from a digital camera. But your simulation here is the total opposite and it looks gorgeous! Translucent, accurate colours, and superb contrast. None of that dreaded opacity! It really is a delight for my long-suffering eyes. Why isn't this the norm?
@cleverpoly5 ай бұрын
They probably can't use realistic accurate renderings coz of how slow it gets and so they develop fake and performance oriented renderers which isn't a bad thing tho.. coz that's how it works
@ArnoldTohtFan5 ай бұрын
So how long until we can routinely achieve what you've created here? Will we be waiting until the age of photonic computing?
@cleverpoly5 ай бұрын
@ArnoldTohtFan maybe very soon as you start to see realtime raytracing which is the accurate one
