Why do you need to blow compressed air on the dipped part? Also does the part require any precoating before dipping?
@bostek-kigoscandinaviabalt13052 жыл бұрын
Blow to remove a little powder, to avoid a too thick layer. Parts are pre-heated (heated up) before dipping.

What amount of air requirement are we looking at for this kind of setup?
@bostek-kigoscandinaviabalt13052 жыл бұрын
it depends on the item design and size of the item, as well as production speed. Some items require blow-off after coating, others do not.

Are you using a thermoplastic in this video?
@bostek-kigoscandinaviabalt13053 жыл бұрын
It is a functional fusion bonded epoxy powder coating, designed for use on valves and fittings in contact with potable water. It typically offers full corrosion protection of valves and fittings with excellent adhesion, excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment, good flexibility, good chemical stability and excellent heat resistance. The fast cure properties make it suitable for applications where consistent film thickness is required.

Any type of material that can withstand the necessary oven preheat temperatures. If parts thickness more than 3mm it doesn't need post heating.

Thanks for Uploading video. what is the surface preparation method? what is preheat temperature? does is required any post heating? how can u repair it if u observed low DFT ? Thanks a lot in advance for your answer.
@bostek-kigoscandinaviabalt1305 Жыл бұрын
A surface preparation is necessary, requiring cleaning, surface treatment, shot blasting when talking heavy / thick parts. Preheat temperature according to the powder coats manufacturer, so between 200 - 300 deg. If parts thickness more than 3mm it doesn't need post heating.
