Your videos are amazing. I just started fishing last month and I feel like I know more than my friends who have been fishing long before me. And compared to other fishing videos, you are supreme. Keep up the great work. Your videos are both entertaining and educational.

I finally managed to locate the largemouths during summer time in the river I'm fishing. In a weekend I caught what I usually catch in a season, the biggest was 18" (no scale, but solid 4lbs I say) and it's in no small part because of you and your channel. Thanks Gene.

Of all people making KZbin fishing vids you are one of the few who just make a video in order to get your point across; to educate and get out for the sake and love of fishing. And I'm saying this because even though you do not catch fish frequently on some of your recordings, you don't make your videos a bummer to watch. Also you don't put videos through time lapses or only add video cuts of yourself catching fish. Greatly appreciated.
@av8r19998 жыл бұрын
Questions: 1. How long did you fish moving baits before deciding against them? 2. Do you normally fish a crankbait at it's rated depth? i.e. 10ft bait in 10ft of water or do you fish a deeper one as to dig into the bottom more. 14ft in 10ft water? 3. What brand crankbaits do you prefer? Understand if you can't get to my questions. Thanks. Enjoy these kind of videos, where you really show how you break things down. I would rather see you do this and not catch a fish than catch a ton of fish once you found them.

Please keep doing what your doing because im sure your affecting thousands of other than myself. Could you make a video about fishing very heavily weeded ponds?

@ 9:00 that spot is way too shallow this time of year. Antioch sucks anyways for top water. The Rock point right there is good in late November for schooling bass chasing shad to the top. The bluff wall later in the video - im surprised you got one off of it. Really. Really enjoyed the video! I love seeing your take on a place I fish often.
@Flukemaster8 жыл бұрын
They aren't as deep as they usually are due to the algae in the water. Visibility is lower than it has been in years. But the thermocline has dropped 5 feet in the past week and a half. They are deeper than they have been all summer. Now I have to find new spots.

Gene, awesome video. my home lake is under drawdown for the next 4 years for dam repairs (10 feet below winter pool, 30 feet down on average total). anyway, you touched a bit on bluff wall fishing in this video. do you currently have or could you possibly do a more in depth video about picking apart bluff walls? my home lake is just lined with bluff walls all the way around and I have found that they are either feast or famine. Been watching your videos steady for the last 3 months and have become a full blown fisherman. I've bought 3 different rod and reel combos and have a tackle box full of goodies and plastics. I can honestly say you have made me a fisherman. I have watched almost all your tutorial and technique videos and can say I never cared for it before and now it's all I do when I'm not working or with my family. Although I have got some fish I still can't catch any big bass over 2- 3lbs and I have fished many different locations, any advice on catching the big chunks? And still feel like I'm missing on a lot of bites. Thanks so much

LadyBass Fluke's box had a couple things different from mine. It wasn't a *bad* box. When I get my video edited and uploaded, check it out. The nice thing is, aside from one item, everything in the box was simple and proven, but it's also probably a good 75% of what most people already throw.

Trailer hooks have a bigger eye that slips over the hook on your spinnerbait. Usually come with a small chunk of tubing to cut off and secure the tailer hook on the other. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Hayabusa_WRM929_Trailer_Hooks/descpage-H929TH.html

Find out what your lakes have. In CO we have spottail shiners in most lakes, but also perch and crappie. Just alter the colors. If the water is clear and your lake has yellow perch in it, throwing a yellow/greenish shad style bait will work fine. My favorite jerkbait on any lake is something chrome.
