Super useful! One thing I add as well is the value per Avios I get. So my benchmark is 1 Avios = 1p and anything below that is undervalued. So I divide the price in cash in full that would cost me by booking directly with airline divided by the amount of avios I am spending plus adding the extra fees to the total. Your example was great: 1,665/80k=2.02p per avios which is a good value.

Thank you! As for value per Avios, that's what I did in the second part of the video. But I only use the cash amount that I'd be saving compared to the cash ticket (so 1666 minus the 350 taxes that the Avios ticket requires and minus the 250 annual fee on the credit card)

Ah, sorry to hear that! But they ran an offer like this twice this year, so hopefully there'll be more next year (I might actually wait for that since I'll become eligible for the welcome bonus on this card at the start of 2024)
