Finally got around to finishing the video. What a heart break on the one that got away. I guess as long as you learned from it... I used to photograph a ton of weddings out in the Altamont/Moon Lake area and I didn't even know this place existed. Back then maybe it didn't. I remember a place called Falcon's Ledge (I believe). A lot of factors went into the tilt. I'm generally pretty even keeled so I was disappointed in myself for tilting a bit.

When ur fishing stillwater and using an indicator set up do u use alot longer leader and tippet compared to what u would use on rivers/streams while indicator fishing on average? Also what length do u place ur indicator from ur point fly while fishing stillwater? I do understand its going to change with the depth ur getting ur flies to but on average where would u start with ur indicator? Do u have a specific length u usually start with or does it always just veri with the water ur fishing? I hope i didnt complicate these simple questions by wording everything differently then i should have haha.

I tend to place flies up in the column and work my way deeper until I start getting eats. I typically start with the point fly around 6 feet deep. I do use a longer leader that has a flat butt section and add tippet as needed.

Thanks for sharing. You mentioned legal length on a dry dropper? What configuration did they allow for your dry dropper rig? Did they allow flotation on the hopper?

Yeah floatation is allowed, just no Bungs that have been recently outlawed in FIPS-Mouche. Legal leader length is twice the length of your rod.
