From the crystal clear streams of the north to the bustling rivers of the Twin Cities, the state is a haven for anglers of all levels with a diverse array of species that call these waters home. From brook trout to bass, Minnesota has something for everyone. But the fish are only one half of the equation. The importance of inclusivity in the flyfishing community cannot be understated. In and around Minneapolis, organizations and individuals are working to make the sport more accessible to all.

I haven't met a single angler in my lifetime that hasn't welcomed me to the river, and definitely never based on race. Literally batting .1000 Maybe it is the unconscious bias of the angler themselves, thinking they don't belong based on their sex, race or otherwise. To articulate a problem, fine, to make one up to tell a story, not fine. ...I fish over 150 days per yr in midwest...
