Using a big rock to sneak up on the fishes is my favorite trick. Got to stop watching these before bed. Big fish on dry flies keep me up at night!!😉😃. Cool video, thanks, Allen

I've watched this video a couple of times and it gets better each time. This is definitely up there on my list of best fly fishing videos. Some of those pics you have of big browns feeding in the beginning of the video are spectacular and maybe not everyone agrees but I think the music was a good choice. I'm super jealous of the amount of big fish you guys get to catch... keep videos like this one coming!

i just revisited this video again after a couple years and I've got to say it's one of the best fly fishing videos I've seen and I've watched hundreds and hundreds. Great camera work, especially on those browns feeding on the delicious Mays. I live in an area in the US that has some spectacular fishing waters but my dream is to get out to NZ one day!

Thanks for the comments! This has been a collection through the years, as you see the difference in aspect ration and clarity between SD/HD formats and codecs. The footage is on Alberta and New Zealand trout waters. We put this video together to coincide with my article in American Angler next issue. Trouble was, we put together a video timeline and it turned out to be an hour long of such clips, and we had to narrow it down! A dvd might be in order! Cheers

Thanks again everyone! The spit out was an elk hair caddis. All music was by Juliet - Random Order album. The large tail that came out after the dry fly goes down - it was a large fish but spring thin. Could have been 10# in summer but it was spring. The video was in New Zealand and the province of Alberta, Canada in the Red Deer area. The video cameras: Canon GL2 for the SD and Sony HDR-HC1 for the HD widescreen. Any time anyone wants to host us on the Derbyshire Wye, we'll come!

@alamao24 Actually most of the browns you see are taking the adult stage of the bugs they are feeding on, which include mayflies and stoneflies primarily. Most of the fishermen are using dry fly patterns
