Hey pal, I just want to say I'm glad you enjoyed our river. I love east Tennessee with all my big ol' heart. Every river is like a new friend you haven't met yet. They will demand your respect, but if you get to know them, they will be a rewarding part of your life.

When Terry was mountain biking in the 70's he was a pioneer in the sport. Especially here in the East.

Terry is clearly the type of guy to blaze his own trail, probably was fly fishing for smallies in that river before anyone else too. Such a cool and interesting dude

That’s weird, seems like KZbin likes to do that for no reason with our channel 👎🏻

Great video! As I am newer to fly fishing myself, it's nice to see you working through it as you go. We all have to start somewhere and there's no better way to learn than to get out on the water!

Those are gorgeous smallies.

I really enjoy your fly fishing videos. One of my favorite things to do is fly fish for really big bluegill and redder sunfish (shell crackers) with a one weight fly rod. In doing so, I have caught some very nice bass along the way and have caught bluegills up to over one pound and landed a huge channel cat as well. Matching the rod to the fish really makes it so much more fun. We live in Montana and yet I still love fishing for bass and bluegills. I would appreciate your fly fishing for some large sunfish in some private ponds. Finally, have you have ever heard of Richmond Mill Lake in North Carolina? They have GIANT bluegills and great bass fishing there. Perhaps you could get access due to your presence on KZbin? Ken

Ok, Ok, I'm jealous. I found your channel a couple weeks ago...and this river and all the rivers' you fish are my juice. If you're ever in Ohio and need some spots hit this response up. We don't have anything that nice looking, but I can hook you up with as close as we have. On the right days it's insane.

Nice video. Have to get out that way! Would have probably helped if yall weren't walking all over the river spooking everything. River smallmouth in clear water are a lot spookier than you think.

I live close to a section of the nolichuckey that’s probably 3hrs from where this is and is a much more low land situation but it’s trophy smallmouth water as well. Not gonna lie it took me a hour or so to find where y’all waded on maps 😂

You have to come down to Texas and catch some 7-8 lbs on the fly rod

would the fishing style you're doing in this video be considered nymphing? sorry i just picked up a fly rod and trying to learn! thanks for the video
@BrettFox Жыл бұрын
Nope. More like streamer fishing, even though they were dead drifting. Nymphing refers to using tiny flies fished on the bottom, usually for trout

Dude you’re doing it all wrong. You’re supposed to cast with your right hand and strip with your left. Give that a try next time you go out.
