Tips and tricks for taking better pictures when you are out fishing. I had a day of photographing some of the news from Vision 2022 so I thought I would document the behind-the-scenes of taking those shots. We will be working with a telephoto as well as a wide-angle lens but you can just as well use these devices when using just a phone camera. The weather this day was cloudy and warm. The fish was standing very shallow and willing to eat. Join in for an epic day on the water. With us, we also had my guide college Daniel Arvidson.

Hey Robert, can you do a video on how you cast in to the wind or a different variation on how to get your flies out when you facing the different sides of wind. It would be super awesome if you make a video about it.

thx for this tech talk Robert. i will be using some of these tips for now on, thx. so gud to hear wen u talked bout big nets Robert. the 2 main fish my 2 sons n myself chase is the barra(barramundi)n the cod(murray cod)which r both big fish. here a company has made a huge net for these 2 species which is a soft nylon knotless material which is very safe for the skin on these fish. it makes for safe handling in n out of the boat for the fish n us while pics r taken which is a win for all.

An easy setting if someone else is taking a picture with your gear, Aperture priority, set the Aperture, the camera will do the rest. Even is the light should suddenly change. The Aperture has a huge impact on the picture, so i see it as the most important setting.

super nice pictures Robert. What do you guys wear under your breathable waders to keep warm during winter. Every time I try to use mine my feet starts to get cold after 45 minutes.

Thank you Martin. I use both the thin and thick gulff socks. But most important is the body temperature. Never go into the water before you have made a sprint to get the heart pumping. It makes a difference for fingers and toes. What I do is to simply always park far from the water so I have to walk a bit. Minus degrees I wear a heating west.
