Hey Sam have you or John ran into deer meat for dinner out in Alaska yet?? He is out there in Alaska doing all kinds of fishing also!! It would definitely be awesome to see you and John meet up with deer meat for dinner and do a video with him also!! Or even meet up with one of the two Alaskan you tubers?? I keep hinting several different videos I’d like to see but have yet to see one come to real life!!! I definitely think that would be awesome though for sure!!! Well awesome video and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!

@@MinnDakOutdoors you should look up his latest video and see what town he is in and see if you might be in the same area!! I think the last little town that he was in started with an N!! I can’t remember the exact name but he went to that town because there was a wedding going on at the other town that he was in!! They do have there big motor home so I’m pretty sure you couldn’t miss them if you ran into them!!!

It might be worthwhile to do something on the contributions of ADFG (fish and game). They provide valuable information about fish counts, fishing reports, run forecasts etc. They publish videos on fishing areas, techniques, and even the occasional fly tying demo. They seem to be very helpful on the phone or walk-in. They have a challenging job and deserve to be recognized. Maybe visit the Soldotna office…..they would likely be delighted to visit with you.

Dang you guys are moving fast through the areas. I don't think I could handle that !!! I caught rainbows in the little rivers going into the Alsek river but did not get any in the main river. I caught a zillion dollies in the East Alsek river though when the tide was high.

Fun hooking into big fish like that however, I am always reluctant to go in a boat all day when I can get more fish than that and bigger in one hole in waders. Slightly discouraged for Alaska tbh.

Anyone can be a "guide" in Alaska..
@akborealisdevstringerdesig38452 жыл бұрын
True that. However to consistently get your clients into 30"+ rainbows, 60lb+ kings, 20lb+ silvers or reds(sockeye) on every other cast you gotta know your shit. These fish which are caught it one spot will not be there the next day. I'd say 5% of the guides are true whisperers.20% of them are gurus, 25% are capable and the remaining 50% will not be there the following year.
