Es2 and es1 creeks have got to be some of the best watersheds I’ve ever fished. You can find half a dozen productive streams in a day with not a soul on them. Tight lines 👍

So true Lance. Especially if you are willing to hike a bit. Thanks for watching!

@@MidLifeFlysis both are good things. Posting a new video while you’ve been grinding away is always motivating. Some unreal sized fish in this one.

@@BeyondTheFly it does feel good to get the video out…and to pull in those nice fish…and to keep the creek secret 🤫! Hope you are feeling well and getting out lots. Talk to you soon.

Im not looking for your special stream - but what part of the province are you fishing mostly? Id love to find my own streams, but want to know where's worth driving to. Im in Edmonton, looking for a 3hr drive or less mostly. But for a trip I'd do up to 8hrs.
@MidLifeFlysis2 жыл бұрын
I fish mostly ES1 but occasionally ES2. There are lots of good streams west of you (Hinton and Edson). It’s a bit of a drive but we’ll worth it.

Another great video!! I was wondering your rod set up? I saw in a previous video you use a 10' 3wt but was wondering brand and line you would recommend ? I'm fairly new to fly fishing and I have a good 9' 5wt but I fish a few smaller rivers that it's just too much rod. Also would like to get into some of that Euro Nymphing!! Thanks and keep the videos coming!!
@MidLifeFlysis3 жыл бұрын
Hey willyg, So I am not a brand snob by any stretch. I usually go with whatever is cheapest for line on my Euro rod as the casting does not require a fancy line. I just use good old floating 4wt line with a 9ft leader and 4x tippet to add length. Hope this helps

Just getting into fly fishing the past year, and am and alberta resident. I was wondering if you could tell me the stream this was. It is fine if you don’t want to tell me.

Hi Casen Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, I do not share my locations. This is a special stream to me and to I’m sure anyone who has fished it. Out of respect for them and for you (to not ruin the joy that comes with searching and finding that perfect stream) I am keeping it to myself.

It doesn’t particularly matter exactly what stream he’s fishing, grab a rod and head west. You’ll find something
