I had to train our new horse for the fly spray this year too. At first she acted just like Bucky. Now, I can spray her without her halter on or holding her and she just stands there.

I have a rescued Pintaloosa filly and she is petrified of fly spray, bathing, etc. I've followed many other videos and they're all about spraying the horse instantly with a pressure/retreat method. She would literally over-react at the first spray that she'd try anything to get away from me and she is such a gentle and quiet horse!! She'd go from an old trail horse to an untouched mustang in a split second! This video clicked for us both and has been a godsend!! Having her sniff the bottle, rubbing it around her, and spraying elsewhere vs at her really helped her understand that it's nothing to be afraid of! Thank you thank you thank you! Can't wait to have my sister try this with her rescue Percheron as well. :)

Hi I have a mule that will not walk forward but he does respect me but then when I walk him he doesn’t what do I do?

Mules actually think differently then horses so they actually have to be trained differently from horses. I'd ask the advice of a specific mule trainer. Horse's tend to react to scary situations bolting/running away. Mules and donkeys on the other hand tend to freeze up when they are nervous. Your mule may be scared and uncomfortable with what you are asking them to do.

Shera equestrain The concept is there. They dramatize it a little on tv, but it does work. I'd do a little more research on practical techniques before you try it though. Maybe I should make a video on that!
