Want to reveal a logo by flying through it? Then this is the Adobe After Effects Tutorial for you. Zoom through a logo shaped hole in a background as you animate on the logomark, wordmark, whatever mark of your choosing. Zoom! Excellent for transitions, outros, intros, and much more.

I always think of asking tutorials that I would like, but ended up surprised by what you decide to show. I have downloaded all your tutorials and watched them many times on the train while going to work. I don't get tired of thanking you for the simplistic, explicative and creative tutorials you provide us every time!!!

Mr. Abrams, within the couple of months I've challenged myself to learn how to create motion graphics via Illustrator and After Effects. I've a heavy Photoshop user. I've been through about about ten different KZbin tutorial channels and came across yours this morning. I found your video to be entertaining, informative and very well organized. Please keep cranking these out, as I'm eager to start this journey with you. Muchas Gracias, from West Texas.

West Texas as in the broader picture of the entire state. I'm as West as Texas gets, El Paso! San Antonio, on the other hand, is when you start getting to South Texas but quite as south as Laredo. I've subscribed to your channel and your teaching methodology is super. Please keep up the great work and if we can help you out with any ideas or inspiration, please don't hesitate to reach out.

@ECAbrams
@ECAbrams 8 жыл бұрын
I don't know if a lot needs to be "optimised". And Ae is only picky about the graphics card. Make sure the GPU is on the list of supported GPUs if you want to make use of the CUDA integration. Other than that, just have more hardware than the required specs for the software and you're golden. And it never hurts to max out your ram, but it's cheaper to do that after market anyway.

How old are we talking here? As far as I know, that option has been around since the beginning. Could it be you need to click the "toggle switches/modes" on your timeline to see the switches in general or do you see the other switches (like 3d, motion blur, quality and sampling) but not the "continuous rasterization" switch?

why did you use the null object to scale the logo instead of just scale the logo?
@ECAbrams
@ECAbrams 7 жыл бұрын
It allows you to attach other things to the null that will scale at the same rate. Also, it allows you to scale the logo up or down independent of the motion we are giving it if you need to reframe or compose you frame differently later. A null in the middle conveys the motion we want. If you were scaling the logo and it happened to not be in the centre of the frame since scale is based on the anchor point that would convey a different internal logic to the project right? That about covers it.

That really depends on what you want the painting to "do" as the logo comes on. Is it replacing the black solid in your vision of the piece? Really it's all going to depend on what you want to see happen.

I hope someone can help me as I'm starting to get a bit disheartened with AE. I use a widescreen monitor and have subbed to the cloud to try and learn some skills for video creation. I go through the initial process of creating a composition but when I do the black workspace/canvas is cropped off to the bottom of the window and if I use the spacebar to drag it up the top edge (or where it looks like that edge should be) seems to crop off the area. Using something like the pentool to create a diagonal line makes it appear below the field of vision and not in the workspace...I for the life of me have no idea whats going on with this. Apparently widescreen monitors are great for working with After Effects, but right now I cannot use the program with this issue. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? I've asked on the Adobe forums, tried contacting their tech support (no one ever answers) but nothing - I would love this to work as I'm really trying to learn some skills for video creation. If anyone can help PLEASE DO! Thanks in advance. forums.adobe.com/message/9100228#9100228

So we basically want to push from this logo on a white background, I'm guessing, and end up inside the logo in the red area? Is that correct that the red should be the negative space?
