I just think it’s unfair that PIT got upgraded before PHL, especially since PHL is a major airline hub, and has double the amount of traffic than PIT, and serves 3 states PA,NJ,and DE respectively. It’s totally absurd.

That’s only the fault of Philadelphia Airport leadership. No state or local taxes are being used for this project. Pittsburgh is only getting this new terminal because of the sheer determination of the CEO/Allegheny Airport Authority to get it built.

The Pittsburgh airport also makes way more money due to leasing their property to commercial offices and for oil extraction (fracking) and could therefore afford to do this.

I would trade a fancy new entry plaza for the level of service and flight options out of PHL any day. This remodel changes nothing about pit that helps me as a biz traveler

@michaelnice282 Well blame the airlines on that one. At least PIT is doing it's part to make the airport as attractive and modern as possible for the size of the metro area. Which is a great step towards attracting more flights.
