Thanks again. The techniques are great and will carryover to lots of other flies. Keep up the good work Gunnar.

Another great video. One thing I've noticed in cutting fuzzy fibers is using braid scissors cuts it more decisively and cuts down the time trimming the head.

Thanks for sharing Gunnar, I agree it is nice to have 3 different weighted variants of the same fly to hit different parts of the water column, especially if all you have is a floating line and no full sink or intermediate. I like the technique of using thread bridges on the lead wire wrap, I will definitely use that from now on. The keel box would be great for the jerk flies like you showed, but also short Bluegill/Panfish representation patterns. Cheers and Tight Lines.

Hey Gunnar, I watched two Sedotti videos. The Trout Feather Slammer was awesome. He really sculpted a 3D profile with feathers, added a stinger hook too on kinda stiff wire and said that improved not only the hook ups but also the action. An awesome looking pattern that I'd like to see how it looks in the water. The other video he tied a mega 9" or so salt pattern with yak hair or some sort of long hair blend. I was going to watch a third video that was on his own channel but two hours in on viewing I couldn't watch anymore lol. I have a better understanding of Hi Tie now too, and I like how he covered the bare sides that also widened the profile. thanks for the heads up.

The Dude is legendary. Tommy Lynch says he was the original guy to truly throw big flies for Trout in MI. It all started with that Feather Slammer. Hope that helped give his technique better insight.

This is just way awesome. I'm looking at material costs at this time so I can add these patterns to my product line. I'm not really looking to expand but this is just to good to pass up.

You're going to buy the material kits from the man then sell people his pattern?
@stewoutdoors30205 жыл бұрын
@@aw00gaaw00ga1 No I will not be selling them. Definitely not selling them. That would be pretty low.

I trade and share these patterns all the time, locally.

I love the material kits but I’d really like it if you would sell just the squimpish fiber and strung fuzzy fiber individually as well. I ran out of my squimpish before the other materials and don’t want to buy another whole kit. Thanks 🙏

Just sent you an email - keep me updated!

Just so everyone knows, this is not Gunnar’s fault in any way. I’m sure I wasted too much material when I was stacking the squimpish. It’s also very possible I was using a little too much. With that being said even though it wasn’t his fault he made it his problem and emailed me immediately and found me a perfect solution. Thank you Gunnar, you have earned a customer for life.

Gunnar...unlike a Clouser...this fly will ride hook down with those dumbell eyes... correct?

Can you tie a hook point up variation please. I like to fish the weed beds for my Aussie species.
