Selamat Malam Alina, The time spent getting to this destination and to the sights and sounds you will encounter, I believe is worth it. I have never been but it is on my bucket list. From what I have read and the pictures that have been shared by fellow travelers, has been nothing short of incredible. From beaches, jungles, coral reefs to volcanoes, to having a lunch on top of a mountain I would say are amazing. It also appears to have some incredible beaches from which you can walk into crystal clear waters and do some spectacular snorkeling. It will be exciting to see your videos from the villages to cities and numerous other sites you visit on this venture. Also, you have an excellent way to convey your thoughts to viewers of what you see, eat and do on your trips. Your detailed descriptions are brilliant. Hello Alina, I have a brother who lives and works in Jakarta. Harriet and I have been many times and enjoyed our time there. Be wary of cabdrivers, try to use just Bluebird if you can. The meters seem to work. We avoided renting scooters; the traffic is too crazy and sketchy. The local Tour Guides which we used to go to certain places were quite knowledgeable. You are doing all the right things to prepare. Also, find some quiet time for yourself to decompress from the active pace and most of all enjoy your time there. Glad you made it safe and sound. Those headphones look really useful for blocking out noise. I went to Korea a few years ago and on my way back, I spent 12 hours next to a guy who had a bad case of the sniffles. I was a basket case by the end. Hope you're having a blast in Jakarta!
