Looks great, but there are so many fibers out there these days it's hard to keep up. I'd love a video dedicated to explaining the differences between each of the various fibers and when you might chose one over the other.

Squimpish is more than a material. It's an entire style. It's got a rich history. Squimpish hair is the best straight synthetic on the planet in my opinion.

I really like Squimpish hair. Use it often for pike and musky flies.

I was introduced to Squimpish hair in one of Gunnar's video a couple of years ago. Cool stuff. I might have to check into using some for a golden shiner imitation I'm going to tie for my trip to Lake Okeechobee in February. Keep the good stuff coming Brian and if you want fish Lake Okeechobee in February let me know.

Heck yeah, I LOVE squimpish. It is a great sub for bucktail on clousers, and it's PERFECT for tying in the round on Bob Pop' flies. All the muskie guys out there have been know'n about this stuff for years.

Gunnar Brammer put me onto Squimpish. My reason for using Boutique Blends, I can’t blend like Gunnar. And then all the other reasons you mentioned. Oh and I have a patch of polar bear (from before my no wild animal fur crusade 🤬). It’s like Squimpish hair long and wispy and multi-coloured and like with flash 😇

I'll have to keep an eye out for this stuff, also should really get back into tying but that requires me finishing up a model ship project that's been taking up my tying table.

I got some of this over a year ago. My local fly shop gave me a package of it for free, so i would spread the word. It actually has nearly "Human," feel to the hair. Im not sure i like it, but i dont hate it. I use a lot of Yak hair, it is a bit more coarse than squimpish, and more translucent. I think if i get into large streamers, i will try it out.

Of course, my first comment was submitted before I saw you tie the first fly. At first, when you were adding all the saddle hackle feathers, I thought you were trying to mimic one of my wife's chickens! But the finished profile looks killer, and the colors in the squimpish fibers really stand out.

Squimpish hair looks like a great material for warm water species flies. Hopefully more durable than bucktail especially when targeting toothy critters
