Great video , I’ve been tying for over 30 years and have been resistant to tying Squirmy worms and tying with foam . I’ve been in my tying room since December and have tied nothing but hundreds of foam flies patterns , my wife says I drank the koolaid I tell her no it’s not like that . I feel bad for lying to her. So yes it’s true you can teach an old dog new tricks .Thanks for sharing

That frog is marvelous. Foam is such fun to play around with. For the Knuckle Deep, are those Clouser eyes heavy or light? I’m wonder how much the fly is intended to sink or float. Btw, who knew you could spin or flair foam like deer hair? Very useful to know. Thank you! Just a thought, you can lock down the tag end of thread in the extended body by placing a small but strong magnet on your head of your vise or on the bodkin over the thread. On my vise, I put it over the body. I frequently use tags & having to constantly readjust the thread gets frustrating.
@flyfishingtheozarks

Thanks! The Knuckledeep uses a medium eye and is designed to sink....but not SUPER fast. I wanted something a little smaller and faster sinking than the original Knucklehead.

Just wondering if the linguine foam tastes better than the fettuccine foam, we have a lot of Italian trout here in Michigan. But seriously, a friend of mine introduced me to foam a number of years ago. We were night fishing on the AuSable in Michigan and it would float all night long. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
