Thank You for not adding stupid/basic music that I cannot stand listening to. I usually just mute most peoples Videos. I love the sound of your 0-200 Continental, smooth! Just like my 150. Really enjoyed.

Congratulations on the purchase and my condolences….lol….Purchasing my 172 was an exhilarating experience. Ownership is great but you got a new expense. The positive….No more rental scheduling, conflicts and cancellations due to maintenance…..The more you fly the more cost effective ownership is…..hooray!!! 900mile, 10hr flight in a 150….You probably didn’t feel it being excited about the new plane but that’s brutal…lol I do a 4hr in my 172 and I call I a day. Btw….Beautiful plane!

@@thecockpitperspective6364 Thank you! The deal has been done for over 3 weeks but the plane is getting out of annual this week finally. The magnetos overhaul took a while. I am excited to finally put the ground school work to action. I was just iffy because there is too much information about the VFR use of CDI and I don’t have one lol

Student Pilot here and a new owner of a 150. My question is - where you able to "top off" with fuel on your stops or did you have to leave some weight off? Loved the video !
@thecockpitperspective6364 Жыл бұрын
Sorry about the delayed response! We overpacked on our trip so we were really just trying to learn the planes fuel burn and efficiency. So with that said we never topped the plane off. On top of the weight issue, we faced a decent headwind almost the entire flight home. Because we were moving so slow we planned our stops after about 3-4 hours each leg. We really did burn about 5 gph consistently which was great.
@thecockpitperspective6364 Жыл бұрын
If I were flying solo with light luggage I would’ve nearly filled the plane up completely and made some longer legs!
@krisperkreme6021 Жыл бұрын
Great video. My only suggestion would be to add time stamps.

@thecockpitperspective6364 Жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure, by far the worst weather was experienced in Maryland lol. On top of it being gloomy, it was very cold. Didn’t have a Carbon Monoxide sensor so we couldn’t use the cabin heat! Toes were frozen.
@doctriestosew4333 Жыл бұрын
@@thecockpitperspective6364 goodness i couldn't handle the cold. I live in Maryland but you where flying over the Eastern shore, I live on the other shore as we call it (western shore). Hope you guys have had great adventures since then

Wow how many hours total flying time including fuel stops and total fuel consumption used and total number of fuel stops did it take for that trip just curious thks
@thecockpitperspective63642 жыл бұрын
It was around 14 hours of total flight time, much longer than I signed up for! We burned around 5 gallons per hour consistently which puts the total fuel consumed around 70ish gallons. Each stop was a fuel stop, probably could’ve stretched her legs a little bit farther before stopping for fuel each time but wanted to get to know the plane. We had 4 stops meant for refueling.
@MrGW952 жыл бұрын
@@thecockpitperspective6364 14 hours is mint bro I can drive a car from Massachusetts to Punta Gorda FL in a lil less than 24 hrs so your saving over ten hours obviously the plane is expensive buy how much is fuel per gallon?
@krisperkreme6021 Жыл бұрын
So it’s only a couple of hours faster than driving. Note to self: need at least a cirrus sr22 😀
@thecockpitperspective6364 Жыл бұрын
@@MrGW95 i apologize for the delayed response, the cost of fuel was ranging between $4.50-$7.50 per gallon between the different stops!
