I love Iceland. I've been there in 1993 in August. 14 Days of hiking... Sunshine, Rain and Snow. It was incredible. I think it's time to for more experinces with new technical equipment. Many thanks for the wonderful inspiration, Philipp.

That sounds like a great plan! 1993, so I was 12, I can't even remember what the world was like back then. I think all I was interested in was bikes and Nintendo. I guess it's changed a little, but probably not too much looking at the island. The capital is no doubt different, but the rest of it I'm guessing is quite similar. Loved your lens-down, lateral pan "over" the waterfall's edge at 16:29. My father was stationed with the US Army in Iceland back in the 50s. I always enjoy seeing the landscape. Thanks for sharing.

That was a fun but stressful one to shoot, I was down by the road so I couldn't see the drone hardly at all, it was getting dark, I was very close in quite a few shots, but luckily made it. The landscape is stunning, it's something I'd happily re-visit. You're welcome!

I sat through the whole thing Phil because it brought back all the memories of my trip in 2018. I took my DJI spark but I was on organised trips which meant little time to set up and fly. I fly a Mavic zoom in my home town of Liverpool now and would love to take it to Iceland on a road trip in a rented car like you did. When we can all travel Covid free again it will be top of the list. Keep up the good work. Enjoying your videos fella.

I stumbled upon this channel a few days ago and this is absolutely the best video about Iceland I have ever seen. My wife and I had tickets and hotels scheduled to go to Iceland last year but had to reschedule due to COVID. We have everything planned to go later this year (as long as everything works out). I cannot explain how excited I am to fly my Mavic Mini 2 in Iceland and I will have this video bookmarked and watched multiple times over. Thank You Chris! I made this video as I couldn't find one like it anywhere before we flew to Iceland. Lots of nice 4K Iceland videos with music, but not one with someone blabbering on what it's actually like to fly a drone out there and where. When we were there in October a lot of hotels were closed, we booked all via Booking Com, and whilst driving through across the islands we saw lots of huge closed hotels, quite sad. It was a great time to visit with the drone though as it was so empty. I'm sure you'll have a great time when you finally get out there, watch out for high winds on the coast, especially the black beach near Vik, apart from that the Mini 2 should hold its own. All the best!

Bravo. Great video. Nice to see so much from the east part. My town is next to Lagarfljót, Egilsstaðir. Also nice scene on the bridge and you can see Snæfell mountain in the background, on of the most beutifull and famous mountain in Iceland.
